How long after wisdom tooth extraction can I drink alcohol?

I have no interest in filling the opiod prescription, but the throbbing is getting distracting.
Post op says avoid it, but not sure if that's because they are concerned about double dipping in the vicodin and the bourbon

I’d still fill it for a rainy day, never know when you may need it .
But a couple of days I’d think you’d be fine

Start now. I was drinking Guinness five hours out of sedation for minor non-oral surgery (no opiod Rx, I told them I wouldn't fill it anyway.) Your biggest problem will probably be drinking around the gauze (probably gone already), or if a part of your lip is still numb. You'll dribble if you're not careful.

Had mine removed in college. I flushed the pills down the toilet as soon as I got home. Pills was one thing I never did because I was too afraid I would like them and because I had first hand experience of what they did to several of my gym friends. I drank a 12 pack the next night after my surgery and had no issues after getting all four of mine cut out

I did the same thing after my hand got chewed up years back. I knew a guy who didn't even drink or cuss who ended up losing everything he owned because he got hooked on pills after a back surgery. I'm terrified of them since I have an addictive personality. .

I got all 4 wisdom teeth extracted in 2019 at age 32.
All I got was instructions to alternate Tylenol and ibuprofen

Start with something that won’t burn. I had a tonsillectomy about 8 years ago and one night decided bourbon would be good. When 90 proof hits a spot you’ve had surgery on it is not pleasant.

This may have led, at least in part, to the mental retardation you suffer from now

Take ibuprofen and Tylenol for the pain and snort the opioids for the fun.
I’m kidding you degenerate frick.

All I took was the 800MG ibuprofen. The doc offered an opioid, but I didn't need it. I drank once I didn't need the NSAID and did fine.

It's the only thing keeping the few brain cells I have left alive.

Immediately. You should tell the dentist to pour whisky on the wound.

I was taking darvon and downing beers at a keg party the night I got out of the hospital from having mine removed. I kind of wish I was kidding about that.

Son I've spilled more alcohol than you'll ever drink.

Immediately. Make sure to get a thick daiquiri first and suck on the straw really hard!
