Whew - maybe that wasn’t the best workout for a first workout in 2 years. Oh well, it’s over now and I’m spent. Gonna use this to kickstart lifting again.

You know what though? Arm farm is all about the pump and it doesn't really matter what the weight you're lifting is if you have that squeeze at the top and slow eccentrics down and your whole damn arm is swole and jacked up halfway through the set.

I used 10s instead of 15s for some sets. Y’all feel better.

I'm skipping today. Chest, shoulders, and triceps are a little sore from yesterday. I'll just run a day behind this first week.

I’ll be a day behind with you. Decided to max bench today after only doing squats yesterday. 5 lbs off my all time PR and up 10 this month to 200. Excited that 225 is in reach in 2023

I should have read up on this last night, spent too much time looking up alternatives as I went.

Feeling a bit under the weather too, so I did not finish. Half way through farm flex and my mind is telling me my nose is a drain pipe as I fall behind my times. I’ll try to keep pushing through the next few days and hope all I have is a nasal drip.

Still got an arm pump.

Later this week I’m switching to afternoon workouts to see how much sleep I can grab.

I had to go into the lady aerobics room and grab some 8s for the raises.

Holy arm and chest pump.

Felt good to get heavy squats after I raised my max up a good bit!

Trying to hold my cup of coffee right now is kind of heavy

Day 2 down. The volume and frequency are very high. I’m concerned about the frequency. Hitting tris, bis, and chest every day so far, which in my limited understanding is very unusual for a program. Is there a rationale for why this is useful?

I'll punt that one to 777, but last month we squatted 5 days a week and my legs never felt stronger.

I like the little bit of everything type workout that this month is bringing. If I just had some extra energy to do some hanging ab crunches at the end it would be the perfect workout

PPSA does a pretty good job of volume control. Like Jose pointed out, we squatted 5 days a week for a month and my legs felt fine.

It's a 4 day a week program. You can space it however you want and the 3 days rest will help with recovery.

Just work in those face down Planks and you'll be fine.

I misread that when it was originally posted and did regular planks. And I never did face down even when it was posted every time

I don't get embarrassed in the gym easily (see my earlier post about using purple lady 8 lb weights) but I did regular planks also.

I think I’m subbing in skullcrushers, overhead extensions, or dips for the Tate press. My dumbbells are spinlocks and so I don’t think the motion works with them too well on the bottom end. Always bothered my elbow without really feeling it in the tricep last time I did Arm farm.

As for the volume, if you look close he’s balancing shoulders, biceps, and triceps day to day pretty well (some high reps stuff some high weight low reps stuff). It’s worse this week cause we are running T-F no rest.

#1 its a specialization program that focuses on upper body, mainly arms

#2 overall volume on arm/shoulders is doable because the volume on the mainlifts is lower

#3 many times to get results you need to get comfortable with the uncomfortable

just trust the process, promise you will see big time results in size if you are eating for it.

I'm just debating on taking a day off tomorrow (just do cardio) and using Fri/Sat to finish days 3/4 off. My legs were still pretty fatigued this morning when I got out of bed.
