Oddball out here but Walmart great value brand is what I use. They have many flavors including the little squirt bottles or packets of powder. I like most of them.

I use Ultima - Watermelon flavor. Not too expensive, love the flavor.

Same - Get the variety pack. 20 sticks for $20.

I get liquid IV sometimes to change out

Anybody use the pill or capsule forms?

I like adding powder to my water for the taste pre-post workouts especially if outside & running but looks from a cost perspective these are cheaper options if that is a concern

This is the part that makes no sense to me. A product that is dirt cheap to produce basically has no generic version that you can just scoop into a cup of water, but fizzy tabs, individual pills, and packets are everywhere. I just want a container to keep beside my creatine so I can mix it a little stronger or weaker if I feel like it.

Snake Juice, but they're expensive and packets. I didn't look if they had bulk. I use it mainly for extended fasting support.

Easy mode good enough for most everyone. Morton lite salt. Gives you sodium and potassium. Put some in your water. Sweat tea. Coffee. 1/2 tsp per liter is plenty to get you between meals where you will top of your electrolytes.

If you are very active and sweating constantly and need to replace several (6-10+) Liters per day then start paying more attention to the rations. one part regular salt and 1 part lite salt gives you a optimal 3:1 sodium to potassium ratio. 1/2 tsp per liter is all you need I use this when doing ultra endurance cycling events. 12-24 hour races in July in the south type of races. Where I'm drinking 1-1.3l of water per hour. I just get my magnesium from my food it's not as important. A small handful of nuts will give you plenty of magnesium for a day of sweating.

Another options is Salt Stick electrolyte tablets. Take one per glass of water. Might be more economical than mixes.

I buy LMNT in bulk. My handheld is small enough where only half a pack of LMNT is needed or it gets too salty. So, the three boxes of LMNT goes a long way.

LMNT actually tells you how to make their mix.

Nuun.

We spend about $40 monthly on our tablets.

Two daily, one in the morning, one in the evening.

Normal run, throw in another post run

Long run, I take two with me in flexible water bottles.

Checkout Hydrate Pro on Amazon. Very comparable to what LMNT offers at a more affordable price. Just not a cool name brand but who cares.

1000 mg - Sodium
200 mg - Potassium
60 mg - Magnesium
0 sugars
5 calories
1.5 Carbohydrates

45 scoops per container and cost $35

Yeah, Nuun is easy and not super expensive, but it all tastes like chalk to me. I cannot do Nuun. I didn't find that it did well to carry on long runs. It would fizz up so much in the bottle. But I have friends that love it.

This is valid, you have to mix beforehand and let it sit for a bit.

Random question...why do y'all need to drink electrolytes for?

I drink a lot of water. Really all I drink all day. No coffee, soda, water with meals, etc. Workout moderately. So just wondering what I'm "missing".

You probably aren’t missing anything.

I on the other hand generally over-consume caffeine, drink alcohol, and sweat a lot so adding back some salt and potassium allows me to continue doing those things.

got it. So I should just keep some in the cupboard. Drink before passing out or in the morning for best effect??

I don’t drink much. Maybe once a month I’ll get a solid buzz to tipsy.
