I bust my butt jan-aug every year. Strict diet and weights. But come october for me, i take it easy. Its football/holiday season, so there are always good foods to eat. I try and eat healthy mon-thur, but on weekends I eat what i want. I still hit the weights, though just 3 days a week. I normally gain 7 or 8lbs. But mentally its great to have that breakk.

Our classes have been tiny. I really don't understand it.

I took about a 3 month "break" and slowed down because I took like 4 vacations starting in July. Just took the last one a week ago so I am busting my arse now and just really started working hard again yesterday. I didn't gain any weight but I also haven't made a lot of progress towards my goals.

I do enjoy this time of year so it makes it hard. I haven't cut out the drinking but I am cutting back on it until the end of the year.

No. The goals I try to push towards aren't gonna get achieved without some intensity and direction for three months.

Not really. I just don't fight against nature. Meaning, colder temperatures signal the body to store more fat, so worrying over a minor elevation in body fat percentage seems futile. The only adjustments I'll make are to my leg day workouts and cardio conditioning because I like skiing, and snow will wear your out of shape arse out. As far as diet goes, IF and OMAD seem to allow for me to eat pretty much whatever I want within moderation.

Opposite. June through August are just too hot for someone like me who is doing mostly outdoor stuff.

This is actually my favorite time in the gym. Usually pretty empty.

Not sure why but today was extra crowded for me in the gym. Couldn’t even get on a squat rack.

I always lose more weight in the winter b/c I am able to run much further/longer than in the hot/humid months. I still lift weights as much but the miles on the road cover up the 'sins' of the holidays.

Yeah I'm feeling the mental struggles of this. I'm dragging myself to the gym these days.

ditto. i'm way more active in the fall/winter/spring. i do have a harder time getting out of bed during those months because of the cold, but i probably run 40-60% more miles Oct-May than June-Sept.

When the days get short and the weather turns cold my motivation goes way down. I still try to follow my plan but the hibernation instinct is strong.

I do triathlons and the competition season is like April-November, so I’m definitely in a less stressful time or that period, if I miss a workout here or there it’s not the end of the world. But bc it’s cold I run a lot more and a lot harder and longer and bc I’m old enough to be aware of the weight you can put on from Thanksgiving through Mardi Gras I actually try to monitor my diet a lot closer.

I haven't done a thing this past month, so I'm about to turn up the heat and get going again. Cut until Mid-December, Bulk through February, and cut back down again for the spring/summer. I'm dreading getting back into it, but at the same time I have this weird feeling of excitement to get back in the routine. I enjoyed my first restart workout yesterday, and hopefully I can keep it up.
