Anybody recommend some good diet hacks that have worked? It's a new year!
Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by diet hacks? What are you trying to accomplish?

looking for ways to stay disciplined, success w/ cleanses, etc.

1. don't diet. dieting is not sustainable. look to improve your eating habits overall while still eating things you enjoy. smaller portion sizes would be a good start - try weighing and tracking your caloric intake.
2. eliminate liquid calories as much as possible. drink coffee and water.
3. 'cleanses' are bullshite. see point #1.
4. lift weights. lift heavy and build muscle. muscle is more energy expensive than fat --> more resting calories will be burned so you can eat more.
good luck.

Best hack is the single food plan.
Pick a food and that's the only thing you can eat for that day. Eat as much and as often as you want.
Here's a starter plan:
Day 1: Cucumbers
Day 2: Potatoes
Day 3: Beef jerky
Day 4: Cheese
Day 5: Honey Nut Cheerios
Day 6: Yogurt
Day 7: BBQ chips
Drink only water.
I'm not sure of your starting point but the average person will lose 8 lbs if you follow that for 1 week.

Don't eat

A bunch of useless info being posted without knowing facts.
For example, what do you eat and drink throughout the week?
Lunches
Dinners
Drinks for meals
Drink in the morning
Drinks throughout the day

I usually put less food/caloric liquids in my mouth and it seems to work fine.

I do two things that helps me get back on track.
1. Have a short term goal such as no sodas for a week. If you make it to the end of the week, then extend the no sodas another week and add in another goal.
2. I also focus on making better decisions. For example, if I go to a restaurant I try to make at least one better decision at each meal. Today I left my lunch at home so I had to go out to eat. Instead of traditional fast food I decided on Jimmy John’s and had a lettuce wrap and diet soda. Still ate the chips, but having what I had was still way better than if I went to Cane’s.
I find that if I start down this path in a month I’m more likely to stick to eating healthier in general than if you dive straight in.

THIS! Majority of people never stick to their diets simply because they set the bar too high. They restrict themselves so much and then always end up cheating and it sends them on a path of more cheating and then no more diet. Make better choices and eat healthy every chance you can. Also make sure you still enjoy the food / drinks you like but just don't go overboard. MOVE MORE / EAT LESS

Burn more than you put in
Going on diets are pointless
Real long term progress is done with life style change

Sounds like a good way to end up extremely deficient in every macronutrient there is

I lost 30 lbs in 6 weeks following low carb diet (20 grams per day limit) with moderate exercise.
Low carb is the easiest way to shed extra weight quickly

I have tried every diet, trend, tip, plan, hack, whatever that exists on the internet.
It comes down to one thing: your will power and determination to eat less calories.
Doesn’t matter if you eat a few walnuts for a snack or go on the keto diet or graze or intermittent fasting.
If you don’t have the ability to be consistent, you’ll never be successful.

Discipline. That is the key ingredient.

I don’t have discipline
No willpower at all.
What’s worked for me.. lost 41 pounds... I eat great 6 days a week but on the 7th day I blow it out. I eat whatever I want.. all dang day. Maybe it’s the reward coming that keeps me straight those 6 days. Who knows.

If you're not ready to commit hard, start small.
Cut out soda. Only eat out one day a week. No alcohol on weekdays, or no more than two drinks regardless of what day.
Simple changes in the right direction. Also what's "a little bit of weight" and how much does the scale number drive you?
I spent all of November and December 2019 with a stagnant scale, but dropped a pants size(was lifting super heavy at the time and eating clean, but right at my maintenance calories).
All in all best of luck with it. The lbs will drop off in no time.

If you've been consistent for a long period of time and lost 41 pounds you have discipline.
