Seems like I have a good idea of what equipment to get. What about routines/programs?

I have five sex trophies, from ages 2-12, three of them do shite every day after school. My best investment last year around this time was nuobell adjustable dumbells, a rogue adj bench, and PPSA dumbbell strength program. I wake up at 4am every morning and usually start training around 430. I've made some serious gainz on the dad bod. Where there's a will there's a way.

Yep. Time, effort, and dedication.

OP has found a support group right here if he wants it.

I’m thinking start with some dumbbell, a bench and a doorway pull up bar. From there possibly add some kettle bells.

Build a plyo box as well and you can do lots of good workouts

I’m in a similar situation and for the last year have been working pretty effective with

2 - 50 lb DBs
2- 53 lb KBs
2 - 35 lb KBs
1- 70 lb KB
Various lighter DBs
Weighted vest
Pull up bar
20/24/30 plyo box
Homemade flat bench
Peloton

I plan on buying a rig and weights next spring, but I’ve been doing quite well with just the above

that’s awesome. it’s not bad honestly. Our three kids are 10 years apart (20,10, 8 months). One is out the house in her third year at college, my middle child is my son and he plays sports so we’re constantly training. It does help

get a set of mid and heavy DBs and do some of the Peloton strength classes

or just do the bodyweight Peloton strength classes

just finishing up the total strength 2 program on there this week.

got a baby approaching 1, thank god i bought dumbbells when i did. I am really happy i got back into lifting after dropping my gym membership in 2020. That baby isn't getting any lighter, my back would be killing me if i was still just doing cardio.

get adj DBs, recommend the bolt fitness octobell, bench and instead of the pull up bar get a set of gymnastic rings and hang them from ceiling. much more flexible.

What types of workouts are you doing with this equipment and where are you getting these programs.

If y’all can’t tell, I’m pretty clueless in this stuff.

Almost feel like I need to get a trainer.

Well today I did

5 rounds

12 DB Deadlifts
12 DB Front Squats
12 Single Arm DB C+J (alternate arms)
12 Single Arm DB Snatch (alternate arms)
400 m Run

I get a lot of my workouts from social media. Lots of good content out there for minimal home gym workouts. I like @dadbodwod, @themartinmethod and @_anthony_diaz the most.

I also belong to several private Crossfit gym FB groups for local gym and often modify their workouts to fit my equipment.

@themartinmethod is a local guy in south LA that has a Patreon account where he posts daily KB workouts.

With the plyo box, you can add box jumps, step ups, box squats, etc to your workouts. You can also use it for a make shift bench if needed.

How is that Ppsa dumbell strength program as far as daily volume? How long roughly does it take to complete each day?
