Y’all do the warm up???

Always, but I only did one set of those split squats yesterday. Quads were on fire.

I even add in some squat and bench warmups prior to getting to working weight.

Thursday done. Was a nice easy workout

Tomorrow looks interesting. Seems so different than what is normally programmed.

I normally do my own personal warmup that I like so I’ll treat it like a METCON at the end for the cardio. Looks like an arse kicker workout

I’m sipping some bourbon at our cabin Broken Bow!

I found a gym in town I’m going to try out for the morning.

I’ll be honest. I skipped tonight. Back and knees are just sore, and it seemed like an inconsequential workout. Not proud, but back at it tomorrow.

I start each workout with a 3x5 empty bar SS of stretches, squats, OHP, RDL, and bent rows. Then I add in whatever warm-ups the program says. I started doing the squats as pause squats. They just feel really good and I like the sort of stretching burn they provide.

I have a feeling I'll be draggin' tomorrow. Spent the day volunteering at my daughter's school for field day. About 3 hrs was spent refilling 5 gallon buckets. Already feel it in my arms and back. Then I somewhat did 6x100yds farmers carry with concrete filled buckets. Got 20k steps in today!

I finally figured out that my knee pain comes from overextension in the Bodyweight Bulgarians he has as warmups. No issues with a bb bulgarians today or when I have a db but when it’s bodyweight I go past some point and it aggravates my knee. As long as he doesn’t program bw Bulgarians I should be fine… checks tomorrows workout… frick.

I’m going to sub lunges for the bw BSS in warmup and cardio I think.

As an aside, the last couple times he programmed front squats I did Landmine squats at the same weight and those are a nice substitute if wrist/shoulder mobility limits your front squat.

Week 3 done. Wasn’t as bad as I expected but still a damn good workout. Definitely felt way different than a normal workout with the KB swing superset but definitely got the heart rate up

Here’s to 1 more week!

Week 3 done here too. I didn’t find todays workout too bad. My lower back has been sore the last two days, didn’t bother me on squat but felt it on the BB rows

Day 19 and week 3 in the books!

It was a little long as expected. I did my typical extended warm-up at the beginning and end so my total time was 1:30; over all not bad. I stuck with the KB swings and used the same weight all the way (warm-up, work, and cardio). That close grip bench/KB swing superset definitely got the heart pumping. 10x10 SS with 75s rests did leave much time for the heart rate to come back down, but I enjoyed it.

The squats were a little meh, but I think it's mostly because the back of my knees got sunburned yesterday. Rows sere solid. I bumped it up 5# each set. I don't think I could've gone up 5# for a 6th set.

Ready for an easy, restful weekend with the family. Taking the kids and some of their friends to dinner and a haunted house.

Same here! Felt it on rows and KB swings.

I know a lot of us were looking for alternates to the KB swing due to lack of a heavy KB, but hindsight I think sticking to the KB Swings instead of RDL or something similar was the right call.

The momentum of the KB during the hinge does a lot of the work. I know I wouldn't have the same speed even doing light RDLs. It just wouldn't feel natural.

Week 3 done.

If you ever need a gym in Broken Bow, go over to BMW Fitness.

Time to go sip some coffee on the porch!

Intimidating workout. I’m trying to get myself psyched up and ready but it’s not working.

It’s pretty light though. Pretty much an extra cardio session.

Got it done. It was rough, but not as bad as I expected. Went light on bench (50% TM) and didn’t have to remove any weight.

We did 2 sets of 10, said this is dumb, and did 4 sets of soul suckers (close grip bench 21s) with 20 reps of the swings at the same weight. Those had my triceps begging for mercy.

I’m seriously considering trying to lift this PM to get a day ahead. I gotta fly out of town for work Friday am and would like to complete squatober before then…
