Have my firstborn due next month, trying to figure how I'm still going to get to the gym before work. Any tips?

You will certainly be up before work. Best learn to be flexible now.

I have 3 kiddos, the youngest is 3 weeks. You make do. I do 5am CrossFit some days, some I go at 12 during lunch, some I go after work. The key is to not use an excuse and give up! I think early AM is the most realistic timeframe to not have to give up.

I’ve adopted lunch time for working out. Keeps me from eating out and crowds are small so you can get a lot in.

Home gym is the answer.

I have 4 kids and would likely rarely train if not for my garage setup.

first 3 months will probably be rough, as you are not going to be getting much sleep, or at least not continuous sleep

although it might be easier since you might be already awake

after the kid learns to sleep through the night, it should go back to normal

Mostly do mornings or lunch workouts now. Have a 1 1/2 year old and in the beginning I’d just stay up after the 3:30 feeding and work out then. It’s much easier now as she sleeps all night so I don’t have to worry about getting her up until I’m done. Got a setup at my house in the garage so most of the stuff I can do at home which works out well. The first few months with a kiddo take some adjusting but you figure it out. I used to be an evening workout guy but it’s much easier to do in the morning if I can get to bed at a reasonable time the night before.

Learn your kid’s sleep patterns and try to schedule around it.

I have 3 kids. I wake up at 4am and hit the gym, my garage or run the streets. My wife gets the kids dressed and to school every day before she goes to work.

It's rough. Home gym/outside running or soemthing is probably your best bet. Newborns take plenty of naps, so that will give you about a 2 hour window.
