Incredible view! Too bad Novak looks to have tweaked his hip.

are there any good books about the tier of professional tennis where players are on the satellite tours and the lives that this level of players lead while chasing their dreams?

There’s a book calling “Chasing Points” by Gregory Howe that sounds similar to what you’re looking for. He was a 34 year old teacher who decided to try and revive his tennis career in an attempt to get an ATP point. Very interesting read.
Tommy Paul knocks off Alcaraz :usa:

I think Roger should call it a career and move on.

I mean he basically has. The guy hasn't played a match in over a year.

Don't think an ankle is supposed to do that.
If Musetti can hold on (big if), that bottom half will really be a wasteland. Not even sure who I would consider to be the favorite out of that side after that, maybe Ruud or Sinner.
Djokovic goes down to Vesely - Medvedev new world #1, first non Big 4 #1 since Roddick in Feb. 2004. That's pretty wild.
This has been a great match. Alcaraz can absolutely blast the ball, going to be a fun career to watch.

Tomorrow is great and all, but when there is a lot of rain, it puts a lot of stress on the tournament to get the third round done by Saturday. I'd rather have another day on the weekend to watch matches

This is actually the last year Wimbledon is doing that. Starting next year they will be playing on Middle Sunday.

Shantaram-Gregory David Roberts

Just about done with it.
Had Ambar when I went to DC 4 years ago. I thought it was by far the best meal I had while there. Did the all you can eat/drink dinner and it was fantastic.
Now Zverev is down 2 sets, that quarter is about to be a mess.
Only watched the first 2 episodes so far but your analysis is pretty spot on. And I agree that Kristen and Julian are the only couple that seems to have a small chance of staying together. Other than that Erica might go running back to Kendall bc she doesn't know any better but my god that relationship is messed up. That dude is legit emotionally abusing her.

Warriors, Pelicans, Grizzlies interchangeable for the play-in spots

I just don't see the Grizzlies quite getting there. Last year they benefitted from a very easy early season schedule and this year JJJ and Winslow are out for the season.

What is the mask situation like right now at places like this? I assume you have to wear them at things like shows or going to dinner, but not when laying by the pool/beach?
No doubt about it. Lost power for 2 minutes during Laura, been out over an hour now. And the wind is definitely worse.
Is this one on tv? Tennis channel is showing some doubles match and I don’t see it anywhere else.

Retention ponds are a scam. Most of them stay 75% full all of the time.

This comment proves you don't know what you're talking about. Learn the difference between a retention and detention pond.
Went for the first 2 rounds in 2018. I liked going early in the tournament, wasn't as crowded as Labor Day weekend and there was a ton of tennis to watch. Just didn't have the big time match ups that the later rounds do. I got Ashe tickets like someone mentioned in case of rain, but 90% of the time I was walking around to all the different outer courts. It was a great experience and I plan to go back soon.
