No - unless something catastrophic happened within the last few months. Cam2 was in good shape last I played it around Thanksgiving. In fact, our group was talking about our trip recently as we lost a member about 2 weeks after we played it, so it was our last round with him.

I’ll throw Johnny Myers Memorial in Funroe into the mix.

Was that the course by the belle chase tunnel and industrial canal?
Wow this thread is a stroll down memory lane. Good times.

Two players for under $50? For that cheap I'd be happy it looked that good.

Played our HS State Tourney there back in the day.

Yes. Next to the Belle Chase bridge and the canal. The levee 9 had a few holes with tee boxes on the levee. Was a fun course.
Anyone ever play Fashion in Hahnville?
Or Braithwaite?

Runner up is Lake D'Arbonne Country Club in Farmerville.
I've actually played D'Arbonne a few times since I moved to Ruston (one of the few options in the area if Squire Creek is not for whatever reason) and if D'Arbonne is in your 2nd place, you are either very fortunate or haven't played around much

Worst course for me...that's easy...the old Cooper's back in the day in Houma kinda behind Cannata's. If I remember correctly you could play the course for literally 10 bucks. And I use the term course loosely.
It closed for a good while but maybe a couple of years ago someone bought it, put a couple hundred bucks in it
eta: Looked up the name - The Houma Golf Club.
First review:
The course itself is no better then a muddy Cesspit. The only thing good with the course is the lady by the bar. They should honestly let you play for free. After playing 9 holes my socks and shoes are full of mud just from walking the “fairway” (if you can even call it that).
The fairway and greens feel like my flooded back yard. The course also has a distinct smell of old seafood peelings I paid 55 dollars to play 18 holes (

Pin Oaks in Auburn in the 1980s was a goat ranch.
Covered Bridge in Oneonta, AL was crap.
Those standout in my memory.

As bad as it is it's the only place close to baton rouge with legit elevation changes which can be fun.

Played a course in DFW days before it shut down. I didn't know it was going to shut down, and when we showed up to the course, they were dead and the guy in the club house said "We're a solid 3 star course". I guess his star rating went to 100. Otherwise I thought he was being extremely generous with his stars.

It is what it is at Cajun Pines.

Yep, played out there a bunch pre-Katrina. Some Murphy Oil baws had a weekly game that me and my dad would drive down for.

I mostly play south Louisiana courses and if I am traveling then I am going to pick a nice course to play, ha! We had a good time out there but conditions were not good when I played - maybe just picked a bad time of the year.

Played it about 3 months ago. Greens were spotty and most fairways were hard pan. And the cart path might be bumpier than any unrepaired street in Lakeview or Uptown.
The place needs 3 changes: larger greens on the front 9, grass on the back 9 fairways and new cart paths.
It is an interesting piece of property

Yes. 27 holes, pretty decent burgers, and cold beer.

Live about half a mile from it, used to play it on the way home from work. In the 80's and early 90's the owner then kept the greens in good condition....the fairways were hardpan.
Closed a few years back, developer is building a subdivision on the property now.

Did my honeymoon in Barbados a few years back and decided to spend one day playing golf. Rented some clubs and got paired up with a dad and teenage son from England. Nice people and we had a good time but that course was absolutely awful. Looked similar to the pictures you posted.
So, if any of you young guys are doing a honeymoon in Barbados just skip the golf.
