The guy across the water from the second dot on the line takes that yard shite seriously.

Actually, he put down artificial turf so he doesn't have to take that yard shite seriously.

About a month ago, I was playing the 9th/18th at Pelican Point Lakes, a 500 yard par 5. Tees were probably 490-ish and the pin was in the front, so it was playing 480 actual yardage. It was downwind and I teed the ball way up and put it in the front of my stance for some extra carry distance. As soon as I hit it and before it landed, I told my playing partners that is the longest drive I've ever hit in my life. Sure enough, we got to the ball and I lasered the pin at 132. It was kind of laughable. One of my playing partners hit one of his best ever drives and I was still 40 yards past him.

Wish I could bottle that up and do it every time.

Ha, I thought about calling that but didn't want to doubt a man's desire for pristine grass.

Turf is a pro move I have been thinking more about lately. Maybe less now since the yard looks great, but the idea is more appealing to me now than it used to be.

255yds left into #14 at Bayou Bend. Hard downwind onto a rock hard fairway

14 at Bayou Bend was my longest ever in competition. That hole was hard as a rock.

3A state championship 2000.

Longest drive that I'm positive of the number is 370 on #17 at Bayou Bend. Wind at the back and probably got about 30 yards of roll. Pin high in 1 and 3 putted for a par

Longest drive that I think I've hit is 380 at Irving Golf Club a few weekends ago. 393 to the center of the green and I was on the fringe along with a buddy of mine. Wind at the back again, though.

I likely average around 300 but not in my own fairway so it's useless

Lots of downvotes for longer than normal drives in this thread. But it isn't unrealistic to get over 330 with a tailwind that a lot of people are being honest about.

I've had a couple roll out to 340 with a good tailwind or with a generous cart path bounce. I average 260-270 or so on the drive. Probably carrying 240-250.

Meh, it's expected on here. Nowhere do I claim to be a good golfer because of the distance I hit though

Lol I'll have to try that line. I have a right miss so I usually just aim it at those bunkers and hope for the best. That's a solid poke you had there goodness

~315, the wind was dead behind me and the fairways were at rock status.

Normal "good" drive is 270-280

ReMax Senior Division in Houston I got one on the grid at 358 and advanced to the State Qualifier where I got beat by one yard.

6.5 Zeider head, 48" Harrison LD Shaft.

Longest playing Golf, for those that played Greatwood GC in Sugarland. I hit #18 in two with Titleist 975D driver and a Adam's tight lie 5 wood from the tips.

Nowadays after 5 knee surgeries and a TKR, I am about 270 on a warm day.

Father time is a bitch...

According to the sign, 347 to center green.

Four some on the green putting. Golf carts across the front of the green.

Had my wife tee off from the ladies tee.

She drove back. I got it all ...

Fairway sloping down abut 2-3 degrees the entire length.

We lost sight of the ball after the first bounce ...Every head on the green looks up. I thought, "Hit the carts."

They putted out ...my wife hit again ..then on to the green ...The four were sitting on the side waiting ...

We walked up ...One says "We had to see the guy who hit that." Two feet from the pin ...there sat my ball.

One guy says "Suddenly a ball rolled between us and to the pin ...a little more ...might be a hole in one."

Luckily ..... I putted in for an Eagle ..we were all joking that I might three putt.

I did something like this earlier this year

It was a short par 4 with a fairway bunker and a couple trees in between the tee box and the green so I usually lay up right and chip in.

Rangefinder said 275 to the pin. 4 guys are on the green putting so figured I’m good to go. Was testing out my new 3w and gave it a rip. Felt well struck but looked slightly left. Looking to the left side and there’s a ball about 15 yards left and short of the green. Thought holy shite I smoked it and walk up to see that it’s not my ball. Guys putting tell me it’s over here. They said the shot bounced about a yard short of the green, bounced through the middle of them, missed the pin by about 6 inches, and wound up 3 yards past the green

I profusely apologized, but I figured there was no way I’d hit close to them much less through them with a 3w at 275. They were super nice about it and just told me they were impressed. Went on to have a good chip and sunk a 4ft birdie putt. Finished the round with my lowest score ever so it was a good day.

TL; DR: I hit my 3w about 285 off the tee.

Same here. I can go out and hit an 80 or I can go out and hit a high 90s score. Usually putting and short game is what gets me.

Like 280. I average 245-250

About the same for me. Got fitted for a driver a few weeks ago and my best one went 270, most of my shots were in the 250 range. I was a little disappointed lol but I’m not a long hitter (5’9” 155 lbs)

Best club head speed I could muster was about 102

331 about a week ago. Got fit for a Sim 5 wood last summer and just bought a Sim 2 driver with the same shaft as the 5 wood, but a little lighter. It’s a hammer. Was downwind and dry. Average drive is 275.

Not sure. I can bomb it out there with the best of them though on my good swings. Was pin high on a 310 yard par 4 on the green less than two weeks ago. Made a 5. Prettt much sums up my golf game. One day I’ll get it all together.

Between 360-365 yards last Thursday at Olde Oaks #5 on Cypress(Par-4 381 yards). Blind hole with a slight dogleg right that you’ve got to carry over 3 rather tall trees. Thought I may have gone too far right and gave up on finding my ball. My buddy hit his second shot and as we drove up towards the green we saw both balls Mine made it on the bottom of the green by about two yards. Pin was at the top...had a about a 45 footer for an eagle...made a two foot birdie.

Drive the green on a 320 yd par 4 but about 5-10 yds short of center. Slight dogleg left and very slight uphill. But had a nice little draw working and probably had 40-50 yds of roll. Been about 5-6 years ago tho - not likely to match that again.
