Driver. Hooking the crap out of it. As a lifetime slicer this is maddening. I cannot hit the ball to the right to save my life. Getting a lesson next week.

Think I’ve got the combo of reverse weight shift and flipping wrists. I can only hit a good drive if I take a 1/4 backswing and swing very easily. It gets me 200 yards - which honestly from the senior tees is not too bad. But I could be much better. A month ago I hit 70% of my drives in the fairway.. Now I’m like 20%.

Mine are on fire one day, then trash the next several rounds. It’s embarrassing how inconsistent I am.

Tee Box has always been my problem. No matter the club, complete slice off the tee.

A one way miss can be fixed with a lesson and practice.

You can do it.

tempo has always been very fast but lately its out of whack. Im trying to have a consistent tempo on every shot. Golf really is all about tempo, that how consistency happens. Its hard to work on tho.

This is my biggest problem. It helps me to count down at different spots of my swing. I say ready when I pull club back aim at the top of my swing and fire at impact of the ball. I say this with every shot besides short chips and putts.

It may sound stupid but it helps my tempo problem tremendously.

My alignment. I’m left handed and right eye dominant. I guess I naturally just line up dead right.

I also have a tendency to shank it from about 75-in from time to time

Same as always…. Making putts…

Hit the ball like a tour player… and shoot 70-75 with 32-38 putts every round

I have come to terms with it at 40 years of age. But if I can find a way to make putts…. I have considered making a run at Champions Tour. But hitting 14 fairways and 15/18 greens and shooting 73 makes me want blow my head off honestly. So instead, I just try to enjoy the bets and the company and make golf fun instead of brutal

That is a huge positive in golf..A large percentage of pro golfers have opposite eye dominance. Pro baseball players also.

Oh I don’t disagree with it necessarily. I’m just saying it’s the only reason why I can think of why I’ve always naturally lined up right.

I’m also open to the notion that I just suck

At least you're honest. I suck at golf most days, but some days, I am pretty good. Thats what keeps me going back.

Putting 5 feet and in.

Always been the biggest problems in my game even when I was playing a ton. Now that I dont get to play or practice as much, it's 100X worse.

Long putting is totally fine and in line with my handicap

All of the above. On the practice green I’m pretty good because I’m nice and loose and have zero pressure. Standing over a real shot I get very tense and have a ton of bad thoughts that usually come to fruition.

Sounds like it's not a chipping issue then, sounds mental.

I am not in BR, but if your chipping is good on the range but not on the course, an instructor won't be able to fix that. A shrink may be able to though!

Played yesterday and for the past 4 months, I cant make a putt from 6-12 ft to save my life!! I get so worried im going to hit way past the hole that I end up short on birdie putts and par putts. It is infuriating.

You have more of a chance of it going in if you hit it passed the hole than if you hit it short.

Worst part of my game is showing up and it's a different worst part this time than the worst part last time

I am in my mid-thirties and have only been playing for a year or so, so I am trying to remind myself there is an on-ramp here of time invested that I need to be patient on.

Outside of that anecdote, my irons are the most consistent, with my 6i being my most comfortable club. I can fairly consistently hit the 6i 180 yards and straight (with the occasional newbie top from taking eye off ball). But when the ball starts moving forwards or backwards in stance, I get in trouble. Driver and chipping being the worst as they are the extremes of placement.
