I'm 60 and can play the senior tees
I’ve always thought the tee was more about ability than age.
I play at 6400, but I only drove the ball about 230 average(not when I hit trees or really get a great roll out).
A majority of people should play up more often.
If you break 80 every time, move back a tee.
On Saturdays I see so many young guys playing the tips that can’t break 90 because they play once a week. They would have much more fun playing up 1.
A buddy and I were at a new course for us, and he says, “let’s play the tips.”
I said, “let’s play up one. If you break 80 we will move back for replay.”
Neither one of us broke 80.
Golf is hard.
Most of us mortals do not need the tips to protect the course record.

I have a 3H and 4H but I hit them left every time. Either starts at the target and draws left or starts left and continues to draw left. They’re the only clubs in my bag that draw every single time. My natural driver flight is a baby fade or dead straight when I hit it clean.
A 5 wood is in my future but I have other needs first. If I find myself in the 3-4 range now I just lay up on the short end of that range and choke down on the 3W on the long end

I hit my 4i really well. Wonder why my fitter didn't add the 3i to the bag. I still have to return for woods/hybrid shortly. I was just curious what everyone else was gaming.
I Finally got my driver tweaked right from the initial fitting. I was slicing it. Fitter admitted he had the loft set to low originally which made me adjust my swing. After he made some adjustments and said "dont think and just swing away" I am hitting it a lot better now. Went from 8 degrees to 10.

Playing tips is more fun for casual players because you can send it on most holes.

410 22* hybrid with Orange Tensi shaft.

Callaway Epic Heavenwood. Cranked down to 19°

I use the SIM 3w but its so hot it fly's almost the same as my driver. Then I go with a 5w and 3h toned down to 20*.

19* Mizzy hybrid and 23* Adams hybrid.

I have 4 wood, then 19° hybrid (215-220 club) and 25° hybrid (195-200 club) then 6 iron (185 club). Sometimes I take the 25° hybrid out for the 5 iron on courses where I may need to control the ball flight a little more.

Right now I have an 18* 5W that I’m going to switch out for a 4W soon and I go from there to a 19* Hybrid and then 4i.

I'm thinking about switching to a 5 wood from hybrid since I hit my 3-wood pretty well.
The most difficult club in my bag. Hybrid.
Never played one until a bag refitting. With my ball flight, and gapping, the fitter recommended D, 3w, and hybrid to fill the gap to 4i. I used to play D, 5w, 3i, and 4i. It's been a year and it's still a love/hate with the hybrid. Mental.

Callaway XPrototype Forged Utility Iron. It’s 18*, but I had it bent to 20, so it’s essentially a strong 3iron with a 2iron shaft. It’s somewhere between a driving iron and a hybrid... usually comes out low and hot, but I can hit it high if I move it forward in my stance. I carry it about 200-210 and it runs out a long way as long as it’s dry. Not great for trying to stop it on a green or long forced carries, but it’s a great tee club for less than driver holes and if I want to run something for a second shot on a Par 5, it’s perfect for that. Because of the low hot trajectory, it’s a good trouble club for hitting low ones from the trees too. I call it my Billy Baroo

I play my 22 degree hybrid in the back of my stance and I can punch it under any tree and straight.
This 410 hybrid is the only one that I don't hit left. I can vary 4-5 iron distance easily by choking up on the grip.
