I just picked up 2 sample packs of the Snell MTB-X and MTB Black. Gonna roll with whichever one I like better for 2021.

I chose those because Mygolfspy did a comparison and the Snell ball was pretty clearly the winner in terms of value to performance. It’s one of the highest performing balls and is over $10/dz cheaper than the industry leaders.

Tour BX is my go to. I got a bunch of ChromeSofts & a box of AVX as Christmas gifts. AVX will go into the bag once league play starts up in a few weeks

Imo if you’re looking for mid tier balls or mid tier pricing I’d saying the Srixon balls are pretty phenomenal for their price, like stated below, if you don’t consider yourself a pretty good golfer then Vice can be looked at. Most high handicaps won’t be able to tell the difference much.

Snell MTB-X or Snell MTB-Black are both great balls for the money. The X is definitely firmer than the Black, but having played both I don't see a huge difference in the performance between the two. It's just a matter of which feel you prefer. The price is really good for such a high quality ball.

I love the TaylorMade TP5-X off the driver and into the wind, but I just can't get enough short game spin from it. The TP5 works better for me there. The price is not "mid tier" by any means.

I really like the Srixon Q-Star ($27) and the Q-star Tour($33).

I bought 2 doz Kirkland Signatures (2 doz $25), but they seem hard.

Z Star for me, although the Snells are very good for the price.

I’m considering moving to these. Low spin off the tee and release more on green that pro v1 and pro v1x?

Vice Pro and Pro Tour. I've never been one to give credit or blame to a golf ball (besides when I played with balatas. yuck.) and these perform as well as the other big brand names do for 1/3 to 1/2 the price per ball.

Pro v1x

For OP, try Vice or Snell. Both fit mid-tier price point.

Snells are the best balls I've ever used besides the Pro V1s.

Been hitting Chromesofts. Not exactly mid priced, but 47 a dozen for Pro Vs is just silly for my double digit handicap game.

My favorite Titleist ball fie the money was the NXT Tour, but they stopped making it.
