he is a boring champion. about as boring as boring can be. Not his problem, doesn't diminish his achievements but the public likes the energy of the tiger woods of a Bryson.
Jack was also a boring champion. And not so loved at first because he dethroned Arnie. The love for Jack by golf fandom came later.
One reason Scottie will likely win many more majors is because they aren’t as important to him. Players who over emphasize them tend to fold under pressure.
Now, Jack emphasized majors but his family was more important to him than golf. That is why he limited the number of tournaments he played.

It's golf .
Personality and flair generally only happen at the finish of a tournament or when something goes wrong.
He is by far the best player in the world an the only thing his lack of excitement brings is less spotlight and sponsors so he can focus on being the best.
Let the man be himself.

Newsflash, Golf is a boring sport in general compared to others from a viewing and emotional perspective. Scottie s just a cold blooded assassin and the only one who can stop him is himself.

Dallas extends from just north of Waco to Lake Texoma. Hope that helps. Go Scottie. F Rory. That is all.

This may be true, but in his case he has earned his self-adulation. Arguably the best golfer of all time. Scandal free off the top of my head. Successful in his course design business. What is there not to think highly of?

Eh, Jack's business decisions lead him to selling his own likeness, which he has been fighting to try to get back the last few years.

And?
Seriously, Scottie is way more relatable I feel to most normal golfers and while yeah he doesn't have that fiery pizazz that Tiger had it doesn't make him less enjoyable to watch.. I truly hope to watch Scottie win a couple majors a year for the next foreseeable future..

I’d like to be boring and casually shoot 4 rounds 68 or better to win The Open.

For being so boring, Scottie sure does draw eyeballs.
He was 4 shots in the lead heading into the day, was never in danger of anyone getting close and the Open saw a big ratings bump from last year.

Why does this bother you so much? I didnt vote on it.

I like to see golfers make good shots. Scottie makes lots of great shots. Often his irons are within 2% of the target. From 150 yards, that’s 9 feet.
I guess I’m old and don’t really think drinking beer and screaming, “light the candle” makes any difference in the tournament.
I mostly watch highlights after dark bc I’m on the course if it’s not storming.

I agree with you. Scottie doesn't move the needle. He's uncomfortable in the spotlight. Tiger moved the needle. Tiger made you "feel" something. Think about Nicklaus and Palmer. Everyone loved Palmer. He made you "feel" something. LeBron is great. MJ made you "feel" something.
