I get Tiger is one of the greatest of all time and is an asset to the game.

I even like the guy a lot more now days than when he was younger. These announcers go out of their way to suck him off so much every time he plays, it is unbearable. I know it's not his fault. Just aggravating.

Their format and ideas don’t appeal to golfers. Maybe in 10 years when all of these teenagers that grew up with ADHD and can’t do anything without music grow up they will enjoy it and pick up the game.

This is what happens to the goats. Same thing happened with Nicklaus. Same thing happened with Jordan. No matter how old these guys get anytime they’re around you will hear about them and see them. The truth is, golf still needs Tiger, Tiger doesn’t need golf. There isn’t a true superstar in golf right now. It needs its next generational player. Till then anytime Tiger can swing a club there will be thousands there just to see him, millions watching, and relentless coverage of it till he just doesn’t do it anymore.

It’s been nearly five years since he won a tournament. It’s unlikely he will ever win again on the PGA Tour and he won’t win anymore majors.
They show him so much because it helps ratings. I don’t blame them. In trying to bring more viewers by showing him, they only risk pissing off some of the current viewers that are going to watch anyway.

I’ll admit, the only reason I tuned into the tournament the last couple of days was to watch Tiger. Once he quit, I haven’t turned it on since.
