re: How do these YouTube golfers not improve?

I’m going to edit my comment. I concede they have mostly improved since they started their channels several years ago. It seems to me most of them have hit a plateau or even gone backwards since YouTube golf exploded, let’s say post Internet Invitational or somewhere about there.
ETA: Garrett was one of the worst players at the YGT event, benched himself in alt shot bc he was bad, and got absolutely smashed 1on1 vs Micah Morris. No way he’s actually a +3 right now

Micah was 4 under in that match and Garrett was trying hero shots at the end because he knew he couldn't win. He still shot a 78 on a course with a 75.9 rating. Before he started screwing around he was only like 3 over on a really hard course. Look at some of the other scores. Pete Finch shot a 75 and is a 2.5. Other than Micah who went unconscious the first 5 holes, the rest of the guys in that event were former touring pros. Garrett being one of the worst on YGT is a bad point of comparison. And fwiw, he filmed another round at Purcell that same week as the YGT event and shot a 73. A 73 on a course with a 75.9 slope rating tracks with a handicap around a +3. Go look at all his rounds on that site. He's put up some impressive scores. You can't just look at the couple times he has a bad day. Everyone has those, especially guys who aren't professionals.

Dalle isn’t a top 100 player on the planet man. He probably isn’t top 1000 tbh.

Garrett is a good golfer but he’s not playing at a +3 based on the rounds he’s been putting online. They had Purcell farms playing way easier that day like everyone was under par except Garrett, Roger Steele, and Finch.
Also the excuse that he’d shoot better scores if he didn’t “try hero shots” is trash because he does those all the time, it’s how he plays.

I have nothing to add besides saying if my tigerdroppings posting style could take on a real life human persona, it would manifest as Wesley Bryan
He is maybe the biggest douche bag on the planet

That I can agree with. His always “tapping in” is so disrespectful to his playing partners. You can’t go “tap” a 10 foot putt, at that point you are just playing out of turn

Yeah because everyone else was a former touring pro. I never said Garrett was on their level because he’s not

Based on the rounds he’s put online he literally is. I gave you the link to see all the rounds he’s posted online. It’s not even an opinion. It’s just data

We'll see. Buddy on KF tour says Dalke is gonna go pro again and he grew up playing against him. Says if he hadnt lost his driver he was set to compete at the very highest level. Dalke was a phenom junior, used to beat lots of big names including Scheffler. Runner up in US AM, lead golfer on NCAA championship team.

You are perhaps aware of the concept of friends right?

For these two entities, I think they both know if they ever got super good at golf their viewers would drop. People like to watch golfers they can relate to.
And people like watching Joey have meltdowns out there.

If he can make the cut and have a decent showing I think we can confidently say he’s as good as an average PGA player.
I don’t think you can confidently say that based on two tournaments. Massive difference between that and the week in week out grind.
That being said, he’s obviously a very, very good player. I mean, I watched him play at the masters. To do that you gotta have a pretty decent amount of skill
Eta: reading thru the thread and it seems like someone already made my points.

There is no guarantee that doing these things means you’re going to be a top 100 golfer in the world.

"Some people. however, are simply just not good and will never be "good" at golf. I'm sure you know plenty of dudes in your life who play a lot of golf but are still terrible and no amount of lessons will make them not terrible."
That's me right there. But love this game so much.

I am woke on Riggs playing foward tees. There is a reason the track never shows distance on his videos

This is ignorant statement.
Micah has started to become a force.
Grant has massively improved over the years.
That is 2 of the biggest names that have improved massively over their YouTube years.

And also, the Bob does guys are blitzed out of their gourds in half their videos. I easily lose at least 5 strokes if i'm drinking.
