I "nitpicked" that particular part because it was one of the only times this week where I didnt have the volume down.

So the other 99.99% of coverage could have been the best of all time and you wouldn't know.

Very good odds of that too! I mean, I'm sure I just happen to catch the worst of the week in my tiny sample size of audible arse rape.

Keep chucking, Kunta.

When you ten hours of coverage every day you are either going to be criticized for showing too many fluff feature stuff or you are going to be criticized for showing every shot Phil and Tiger hit when they are ten shots out of the lead. My only real beefs with Fox is that Joe Buck sucks as a golf play by play guy and I have a hard time telling Paul Azinger and Curtis Strange apart from each other by their voices.

Problem is with all the relatively easy money there is to be made on the Champions Tour all the really big names think it is easier to be the next Bernhard Langer than it is to be the next Johnny Miller or Ken Venturi. I would have loved to have had Tom Watson do commentary for this but if you were Tom Watson why would you need to do commentary for this? Same thing with Fred Couples. Maybe someone can talk Ernie Els into doing the commentary gig a few years from now.

The comment about the 3 wood shot on 14 was that if he wins this tournament he might only hit 2 or 3 shots like that in his career (obviously more for people like Tiger)... not that the shot was top 3 all time for everyone.

I can agree with that... you don't hit that many impactful shots over the course of your career to win majors... most guys don't win more than one.

I guarantee you Zinger is making probably triple what the leader of the Schwab Cup is making doing Fox and NBC.

Neither of these guys would be good on TV, they don't have enough to say.

Not going to happen with his special needs kid, but have you ever heard him speak? Half of an American audience wouldn't be able to understand him.

With the US Open on the line he pulled off one of the most difficult shots on that entire course.

You're fricking dumb.

It was a huge shot and it came at a critical time. He was starting to hit some loose shots and said frick it I'm going for it instead of laying up. Those Tiger and Rory shots don't even compare imo. One of the biggest shots in a major that I can remember was Corey Pavins 4 wood at Shinnecock Hills I believe during the US Open. Would link it but frick it I'm laying up. And Fox sucks at golf.

Wouldn't let me stream without being connected to my home wifi... idk if that is a service provider issue or not. So couldn't live stream and the featured golfers on the US Open app werent even the leaders.

Are you kidding? Buck is an abomination of a broadcaster. He over dramatizes everything. If somebody cracks a smirk you will get 10 min of psychoanalysis. Oddly enough I thought the world of his dad, Jack. But I might be biased there because he was the voice of the Cardinals of which I have been a fan of all my life.

I dont know how many times they were wrong about some call on a putt or club selection yesterday... this putt will go right. It went left.

The Fox coverage is terrible. Jack Buck should NEVER broadcast golf and only Assigner is worth a crap.

you know what they wouldn't get criticized for? Showing 10 hours of coverage of the top 5 guys in the tourney, sprinkled in with any incredible shots by the rest of the field.

It isn't hard. Show the guys at the top of the leader board. As a guy falters, start showing the guy shooting up the board. You don't need any fluff.
