Hitting a perfect drive then hitting the 8 iron approach shot with the heel of the club because you're getting cocky and not focused
oh you meant about other players?
slow pace of play not letting you play through.

Second to not letting faster players play through -
Someone saying "looks good" or "good putt" midway through the putt. Seems like 9/10 times its going to break out when someone says that. It's a little thing that bugs the hell out of me.

I dont disagree with you, but there's also no reason to roll one up 15 yards behind the group on the green if you're going to have to wait anyway.

Losing balls not hit in the water or OB. I'm talking about you hit a tee shot left or right of the fairway, you're tracking it all the way to the end, you're sure you know where it ended up. Get to the area, and it's like an alien spaceship came down and abducted your ball. Losing a ball in the rough or around trees/roots like this drives me frickin nuts and throws me off for multiple holes

Had a tee time at 4:30

The guy that wants to hit 18 cups. Inside the leather and you're not playing for money? Pick it up and move along... especially when another group is waiting in the fairway.
The guy who waits until it is his turn to hit to get his distance and pick a club.
The guy who throws the flag stick down instead of sets it down.
The guy who wants to retrieve every ball he sees on the edge of the water.
The guy that stand over a ball for 30+ seconds... I don't care if you hit it to a foot...get up there and pull the trigger.
The guy who drops after a lost ball but doesn't count the penalty. Drives it in the water right, goes to the point of entry and drops, hits it on the green and two putts on a par 4... says he made a 4...nope you made a 5! (edited to clarify)
I've played with guys who shoot low 70s and guys that shoot in the 100s and everywhere in between. I don't care about your skill level... but if you are shooting 90+ then you need to play fast.

Sounds like a 4 to me.
Laying 2 at the drop, hit the green 3 and one putt for a 4.

Played grand ridge a few weeks ago. Had an 8am tee time. Standing on the putting green before we tee off and a group of members goes off at like 755. Marshall didn’t say anything, but I didn’t really care.
Not two minutes later another group of members rolls up to the tee box and Marshall says they can go off. They wait about 10 minutes for the first group to clear the fairway, tee off, and then sit on the tee box for 15 minutes while one of their buddies gets his shite out the car because he’s late.
At this point I’m fuming. That’s two groups with no tee times that went off before us and one of the groups couldn’t have been bigger assholes. We ended up not teeing off till about 840, and the Marshall didn’t do a damn thing about it.
Haven’t been back since and won’t return to that dump.

Yeah, not sure what his issue is.
Up and down after a tee shot in water hazard is par on a Par 4
My personal pet peeve is pin placement. I use SkyCaddie so that I know front middle back.
Scorecard has numbered positions or a pin sheet and sign at first tee gives position that day. Then you play and half the pins are in the wrong location.
I realize many use a shooter, so they don’t care, but even w a shooter, that doesn’t tell you how much green you have to work with, and IDC how good ur eyes are, there are greens that the pin location is deceiving from a distance.

Lots of jerks all ages don't fix divots and rake bunkers.
Slow play is ruining golf.

I think he was saying that people don’t know the rules, and that the gentleman 2 putted for a bogey

This is my biggest peeve at the local munis like Webb Park. And often it's a certain type of group with at least 5 players. I would go deeper into detail, but given the current social climate, along with my desire to not get a PM from an admin, I'll leave it to your imagination to connect the dots

I haven’t been back to Webb since a group of regulars were all in single carts and were hitting into the group in front of them all day when the course was packed and you couldn’t go any faster. The marshal went to the group in front of them and gave them a warning to speed it up when there was no possible way to speed it up unless you started bombing it at people still on the green.

Assholes like that on the course come in all ages and races. It doesn’t discriminate.

Also, kind of on the topic of playing through:
When I'm playing solo and the course isn't terribly packed, there is always that moment when I catch up to a 3 or 4-some on a tee-box and they know I'm there, but none of the frickers will make eye contact with me because they know I'm going to ask to play through and cost them a full 2 minutes of time, then they drive off.

Seems like slow play is everyone’s pet peeve. Do Marshall’s help at all where y’all play? Marshall’s are non-existent in my course.
What is your pet peeve about people you play with?
For me it’s people that don’t give a shite about honors. If I just made a birdie and you got a triple bogey, let me hit first. My brother is sways first to the tee regardless what he shots on the previous hole and it irks me. People that hit their driver and then head immediately back to their cart gets me too. If I hit first, i always wait for the forth guy to tee off and then walk back to my cart with them.

We play ready golf. I don’t care if I just birdied. Hit if you’re ready. Some people aren’t comfortable and wait on the guy. That’s fine with me too.
My pet peeve is people who drive the carts all around the greens especially par 3s. It’s just disrespectful to the course and lazy af.

I understand the ready golf but if I’m ready with someone that just scored better then I let them go first. When I’m ready and just birdied and someone jumps ahead, that’s where I have issues.
