I would actually classify the Virtual Boy as one of the worst inventions of all time let along gaming

Came to post about Homefront. Seemed so promising then the campaign turned out to be bug riddled and 4.5 hours long with a joke of a multiplayer.

Halo MCC was a frickup of epic proportions.

Final fantasy 13.....the only one I didn't finish with the exception of say 1-3. Ruined the series for me.

SEGA CD

They were at the top of the video game world at the time, then they lost their momentum with this catastrophe and could never recover.

Say what you will about the functionality of the power glove, but there's never been a time it wasn't completely awesome.

The way sony fricked up Star Wars Galaxies will forever be the most painful fail that affected me as a gamer. I'd still be playing today if it was not raped. Pre CU (combat "upgrade" - lolnope) SWG was the greatest game I have ever played and they killed it.

Now as far as in general to the masses? I'd say that you have to look at money and hype invested with nothing to show for it. Sega CD is a big one. 3DO comes to mind too.

This doesn't belong on your list. The Neo Geo was pretty successful for what it was

I would have to say ET. Really, just Atari's decision to allow anyone to make a game for the 2600.

Some short memories in here. I feel like it has to be ET just because it crashed the industry. An argument can be made for other things too of course. I like the throw back of Daikatana. Any game that sucks after the phrase, "This game will make you its' bitch" is in the running.

I think the ET Atari game is really the only answer. It virtually single-handedly ruined Atari AND crashed the gaming market.
