Try disconnecting everything from the PSU except for the mobo and video card so you can do a test boot

it looks like the mobo went to crap.
Did you boot with everything disconnected but the mobo and video card?

I hope you get it fixed KK.

what do you mean everything disconnected. nothing is plugged into their ports minus the hdmi cable and power. you mean the internal power and sata cabling?

Yea DC everything from the power supply except for the mobo and video card (keep hooked up to the monitor).
Basically doing a test boot, but keeping it in your case

nah, nothing still.
I got nothing. makes zero sense.
no post.
no post beebs.
everything seems powered and running.
no output
FML, I don't know what else to do but tuck my IT tail between my legs, accept failure, and bring it somewhere to get them to figure it out

Does the processor fan run whenever you power up?
Posted on 2/20/13 at 9:09 pm to bluebarracuda
the fan connected to the enormous heat sink runs.
Posted on 2/20/13 at 9:10 pm to Klark Kent
Hmm then it does appear to be the graphics card (that's if you have the fan hooked up to the mobo).

I really really hope it's the gfx card. I was gonna replace it soon anyhow. just don't wanna replace the mobo
if I replace the mobo I'm replacing HD with SSD, getting a bigger and quieter case, and a new gfx card
it's no monster like what you guys have here. just an Intel i5, one 250HD, 2 TB HDs, and a 1GB graphics card single hdmi output.
I don't need/want a gaming rig, just a decent PC that I do lil things in photoshop, torrents, work from home, surf the web, use as a media server for my Xbox and laptop. I also run 64bit Windows 7 Ultimate (legit) so I can run Virtual Machines to break/test things in Windows Server 2003 & 2008. also for work or my living.
