I know everyone's been talking about titan, but I have a huge nerdboner for LINK
galaxy OC 680 with a white PCB. would look quite snazzy with my white define r4, but would it be much of an upgrade from my gigabyte windforce 670? better getting another of the same? I would like to water cool, but I have to pay for grad school for the next three years. please talk me down from this ledge and tell me that what I have is good enough.

Nice. The 3570k got over 90% 5 egg reviews on newegg, so I'm pretty confident in my CPU decision.
Great CPU.

Buy the 680
Sell me the 670 (MC fan brethren)
I sell my 660ti
Everyone gets boners

I had that card and it is the single best stock clocked single GPU card on the market (actually it is now discontinued and only the lower clocked ones are in stock on newegg). It's a very glitchy card though, and doesn't run well on a lot of games. It benched better than my 7970ghz edition stock, but my 7970 was a lot smoother.
If you're going to watercool, I'd recommend going with a 7970/680. I think watercooling a not top end card is kinda wasteful
EDIT: Check out the benchmarking thread for my benches with the 680. The one that is in stock on Newegg won't score as high, but they're basically the same card with different clock settings

Also Garry's mod is on sale for $2.49 on steam right now

welcome man.
that's almost identical to my build except my mobo is the Asrock 970 extreme3. I saved like 35 dollars on it because it was on sale at the time. It's around 100 now. I have a Ghz overclock on my phenom which brought it up to 4.2ghz. It's the 955 though, stock clock is 3.2. You can over clock the hell out of the 650 ti too. Stock it's like 928/1300 and I have mine at 1125/1450 with a 25mv bump and it's completely stable. I've had mine up to 1175 core clock and I've seen them up to 1200.

I haven't heard people talk about galaxy cards too much here. People have good experiences with them?

They are good cards with good Bios.
People do rather EVGA, Asus and msi because of their great control applications like afterburner and precision x. Galaxy cards are good though and if you get a deal, buy it as you could always flash EVGA or msi bios on it.

Should I overclock my rig?
i3570k @ 3.5Ghz
7950
Right now I am running all of my games on ultra. Is there any reason that I should overclock?

OC for the fun but I would bump the CPU to 4.0 @ around 1.22V.
Eta:
Why spend extra on an unlocked intel chip if you're not going to OC?

Aside from benchmark test results and for fun, if you run all your favorite games on ultra settings already then I wouldn't bother with OC but that's JMO

I bought it in order to OC, but now that I am running everything on ultra without a hitch, I don't know if it is even worth my time.
Maybe it's a lot easier to OC with this chip and mobo. Last time I did it a few years ago it was a pain in the arse

Ooohhhh my head hurts.. Can not compute not OCing..
You do it because it is fun. Also you will notice a slight speed increase in everyday computes like file transfers, installs and te like.
