Ah then I'd look into a radeon 7770, geforce 650, 560 ti or 650 ti. Those are all around $100

it's 3 miles from my office wonder if my gfx card just couldn't handle that 27inch Samsung.

One of those I listed will work perfectly at 1080p.
I think bruce may have one of those. The video cards are little more expensive there than other places, though

Isn't about screen size but pixel density. 1080 is 1080 on 100in or 21in, both have the same amount of pixels.

I don't think ur gpu went out tbh. Could be but that rarely happens.
Did you plug the display into the MOBO for a boot?
Take the gpu out, boot up through the MOBO display to reinstall the drivers.

3) PC is receiving power from PSU (fans move when turned on)
4) CPU Cooler turns on (I think he said it was connected to the mobo, if so, then the mobo works)
5) No post on monitor.
Did you hook up some speakers to the mobo to see if there was a post beep?

i disconnected the speakers early in the troubleshooting process last night, but the time or two i rebooted with everything connected i didn't hear any beeps coming from the speakers.
