should I give up and take it to microcenter and let them figure it out?
I needed a new gfx card anyhow, so I would've upgraded regardless. I talked to several computer hardware geeks friends of mine and they said gfx card too, fwiw.
it was my assumption as well.
So, Ohh wise Coyote Computer Genius Master Race pretentious One, tell me what my next move is....

I would take it in. As much as you don't want to it is just easier sometimes.

I just bought a Radeon 7850 (2gig on board ram) and I love it. Per Tom's Hardware, it's the best card on the market around the $200 range.

Whoever you spoke with who said gpu also was not very knowledgable. You can do tests that rule out gpu failure rather easily. Motherboard and ram issues for me are the most frustrating and hardest to figure out.

Did you try posting without any anything in the pci slots and going through the MOBO DVI/VGA/HDMI ports?
Also try flashing the MOBO bios with updated bios. Your manufactor should have a tool to do so on their website.

I told him it was the graphics, I don't know why I come off as unkowledgable since it's definitely not the mobo (CPU fan runs when it is turned on). It was either the graphics or RAM, and since he was wanting to up it anyway, I told him to go ahead and try it out.

I know you know what is going on blue. Lol
Just gpus rarely come DoA. Most likely RAM or vent pins.
Did you guys try to post via MOBO display ports though?
ETA:
From that reasoning though if he was going to upgrade no big deal.. He better keep that 650ti!
Also Klark, unslot your CPU and take a picture of the pins on the board if intel and pins on the CPU if amd. We can then go from there.

Hey guys, I have a couple of OC questions.
I have an i3570k and this is the first time I am OC this processor.
Right now, I am using this guide here.
It seems like every guide that I have seen on the i3570k and the z77 is different.
I have seen numerous different ways to OC, with some guides saying to disable turbo boost, or some (like the one I am using), leave it turned on.
Right now I am at 4.4Ghz, 1.064V, high 60's under load.

To follow up our convo about the 8350 last night I did some more research on the internet. There seem to be a lot of varying results between the 5370k and the 8350. Sounds like either way you are making a good decision.
This is just one of the sources I looked at
What I am having trouble justifying is why spend all the extra money for a 3770k. Everything I see has them so close together. I also don't know how well these different processors do in SLI or Xfire.

Gaming they are all close but multitasking and CPU heavy applications the 3770 drowns them in a pool of shame.
For the 200 price point you can't go wrong with a 8350 or 3570k.

When I said that I meant for gaming. Of course there are many other things you can do with it but all I do is game.

Yep. I went with a 3770K because it's $229 at the local MicroCenter. No brainer for me.

Im gonna try your suggestion of taking everything from pci out first. I did add a new wireless card last week.
They'll I pull the CPU cooler and fan off to get a pic.
Sorry for being an arse yesterday, shite is frustrating. Put all this money in and it just output nothing. sigh

You'll get it. Stay patient. Double check all your power connections. More often than not a problem like this is because a card isn't fully seated or a power connection isn't clicked all the way down or one is missing.
One of the other guys built a PC earlier in the year and his graphics didn't work because the video card required two power connections and he only plugged one in.
