shite. Shouldn't have cancelled that order Stout.

They ended up not having it in stock there. So I went for the GeoForce GTX 650ti 1GB.

Clocked at 1071Mhz. $139.99 @ MicroCenter.

Anyone have it? Thoughts?

650tis are plenty good. I have a 550ti that runs dayz and other games fine.

What manufactuer? Evga, msi, pny etc?

You won't disappointed unless 1)your vid card wasn't the problem or 2) your psu can't power it

PSU can power, checked last night. Only needs 400 watts.

EVGA is Manufacturer.

Good thing I remembered the gfx card is HDMI mini, monitor is HDMI. Had to buy a cord. That would've pissed me off good this evening. Turned around and went right back in MicroCenter. $25 cable, sigh

lOl yeah my bad. I'm surprised a 650ti only requires 400. I probably have the exact same grey evga box in front of me right now. Shoulda looked at it first

I love evga. Quality shite. Make sure to install all your drivers and adjust settings obv.

Still, skirting by on the minimum isn't ideal

You will need an instruction manual to install dayz too they don't make it easy.

New question for the masses: for a gaming build for someone who wants to record... Would a 6 core amd bulldozer be a significant enough upgrade over a phenom or even i3? budget less than 1k, 150$-200 gpu range.

Ive watched youtube vids on installing it and it seemed pretty easy.
Id like to snipe off with KK on DayZ. He needs to understand.

I was joking with stout about how infuriating getting sniped must be on dayz

The i5 3570k is a beast and even the i7 3770k is a marginal upgrade for most things.

Jeff i have no idea what all of this means. It scares me. Ive got $1200 between the build and paying for you assistance. I have faith. Lead me to the promise land.
