So that’s $132 per year on top of the already insane $600 price for a 6 year old console

I stopped paying years ago.

It isn’t worth it.

I cancelled my psn and game pass after building a pc and adopting steam as my primary platform.

With the benefit of hindsight and using steam as a point of comparison, it seems absurd to charge monthly for online features for games and a console you’ve already paid for.

This won’t win me back.

Still a good deal to power through games in a month that you don't want to pay $60 for.

Same. Cancelled my account like 4-5 years ago after a big price increase, haven't missed it once. They've raised it like another 2-3 times since then.

Convinced my wife to dump Amazon Prime about 2 years back as well.

My house is officially subscription service free. #BoomerBrags

Since it's basically impossible to find discounts on PS+ Essential if you're currently a subscriber, I guess the best course of action is to wait until there's a discount on Playstation Store gift cards on Newegg and use those discounted gift cards to re-up your PS+ sub?

They normally do a sale every july or during the state of play thing but not sure if thats just for the higher levels.

I use the ps plus extra game library a LOT, most recently for the subnautica games

Once the new gen consoles come out I’m moving to pc or a steam box. GTA coming out in November is the only thing making me wait (and RAM prices)

I've been wanting to buy a current gen console for years but I'm not playing these prices. I'll keep firing up my Xbox One once every couple of months to play old games instead of buying a new console.

I let my PSN membership lapse last December when they announced they weren't issuing any new PS4 games.
