PS+ it can turn on if you want and do it for you in the middle of the night.

On the One, you're purchasing a license to play the game. On the PS4, your disc based purchases grant you actual ownership of the game.

nah it will shut down when done then reboot and finish the update, ive never had it update while off

You could watch TV and play Blurays, but you can't play games if you don't check in every 24 hours.

You can enable the option to turn off directly after download.

You would probabaly have to do the internet check before you can start playing games...The console will turn on and im sure you can do somethings just not play any games.
