All of this shite goes away soon and you're only option if you want it will be to pay full retail price.

Is the console player mind set that they would rather be a corporate slave to Sony/Microsoft and take all that abuse as a consumer rather than just switch to PC?

Sony's recent move to gate off their exclusives from PC suddenly makes a hell of a lot more sense.

Steam occasionally marks their stuff down. Sony exclusives will stay forever at a $70-$80+ price point with no recourse on PSN.

Guess my PlayStation will be going into the trash at this point

May as well start looking at PCs. Sony can get fricked.

Yeah, I'm sure theyll be selling disc versions of pc games forever

I bought a digital ps5 so this news means nothing to me

I hardly ever pay $70-80 for anything that isnt a sports game on ps plus. They put their shite on sale all the time. Or put it free on ps plus

Spiderman 2 was just on sale for $30 for days of play.

Ghost of Yotei has already been on sale for $20 off and its barely a year old.

God of War Ragnorak im pretty sure Ive seen for $40 or less.

Im sure no reselling sucks for yall that like to hunt bargains and stuff, but acting like will keep games $80 forever is dumb. The reason companies put games on sale is to attract new buyers that have been holding out or just arent that interested

If someone waited 2 years and didnt purchase a game, they arent gonna all the sudden spend $80 cuz it isnt on sale over the newest hyped up game.

I play both. There are a lot of games id rather play on console.

Prefer to play more rts/tactical/management/sim
games on pc.

You are never gonna get the same experience playing a lot of games on pc such as NCAA football. Youll end up stuck in lobbys with hackers like the NBA 2K and MLB The Show players currently deal with.

Even the shitty arse Undisputed boxing game the pc community is full of hackers with unlimited stamina cheats.

Don’t throw away the packaging. In a couple years the PS5 pro will fetch more on the secondary market than a Trinitron.

People sky screaming about this are cracking me up. Microsoft saw this coming 13 years ago when they released the OG Xbox and people shat on them for over a decade for it. Now those same people are shocked when their savior Sony finally realized Microsoft was right and is going to do the same.

I’ve said it repeatedly over the last few years. Xbox and Microsoft are playing the long game. They know they have “lost” the console war but they are keeping the brand alive for at least one more physics console before they truly go all in on Cloud gaming in probably 5-8 years. They have been building the infrastructure and will likely have it peak and ready to go on most smart TVs within the decade.

That’s when Sony will start their slow and inevitable downfall because they won’t be able to match the cloud gaming infrastructure Microsoft has. They’ll eventually sell IPs to Microsoft or Nintendo.

When it’s all said and done, Nintendo is going to be the only company that keeps releasing a physical console
