I've played since launch and I'm lvl 9. I don't really go out of my way to play though and never have my app open to get steps towards my eggs.
My strongest pokemon is a lvl 312 Tauros.

I've played for three or four weeks now and am only 13, and only because I used a lucky egg with a ton of pidgy evolves.

I'm only a level 10 and I've been playing since launch. But I only just started getting into it. My best pokemon is a 500 something jolteon

Yes I track them by lost placement. I'm pretty sure that works but it's still the relative area. Their "nearby" is still relatively far.

Not having Pokevision and Pokewhere is really taking the fun out of this. I know people see it as cheating but with the tracker not working it was the only to way to track down anything. I still had to run out of the house and go get it.
Hatched four 5km eggs today and got shite from three of them: Doduo, Oddish and Krabby.
The other one was much better and gave me a Voltorb. No idea how rare it is but I have never ran across it.

I got a Gyarados today. It's CP is 1500 but it's attacks are a 6 dragon breath and 25 twister. Is that crappy?

My 5k egg gave me another psyduck. I needed 3 more candies to evolve one for the first time. Evolved the one I hatched because it was highest: 1470 golduck.

Someone finally did it! A 3rd party app that actually works for Windows Phone! It looks rough now, but with time it will shape up. Suck it Niantic.
Caught my first pokemon. A CP 12 Weedle. Just like the old man in Viridian.
Eta: It is completely barebones right now. All you can do is catch pokemon and visit Pokestops. No gyms, no transferring, no inventory access, or pokedex access.

Im level 21 and only like 50 Karp away from my second Gyrados and the highest I've seen is CP 138 and I've seen a lot.
Also to the other person who had the Gyrados with twister; my first one had that too; I'm hoping this second one is better.

That's based on your level, had a 90IV I evolved that was in the 180s when I was 26. Got bite and hydro pump move set.
