At least I power-leveled to 22 yesterday. I think I can just casually fire it up while jogging in the park or walking the neighborhood, see if something I haven't caught before pops up. Other than that, I think my days of pidgey farming/lucky egg/evolve 50 pokes are done.
Not really interested in wandering the streets for a one in one hundred chance I'm heading towards what I'm trying to catch.

Yea all I can do is start a new character. I have the three starting Pokemon to pick. If my game is gone, I'm done.

You should be able to. When you select your poke, there's a menu in the lower-right corner that looks like 3-dashes. Select that and you can either "favorite" it or "transfer" it.

For those of you who lost their progress.. Do you have multiple email accounts? When I updated I thought I had lost mine as well but I realized it auto logged into a different gmail I have, that I never used for the game.. I had to completely sign out then like sign out of that gmail on my phone too through the app then resign in with the original email I used.

Just when I bitch about no 10k eggs in the last 12 lvls I get three back-to-back-back.

I was off and on for this game at first then tried to legit get into it, and now I think I'm done. I can have more fun playing the old gameboy games and avoid the shitty production and disappointment.

Speaking of badass Pokemon. The lvl 34 dude with a 2400 Gyrados that's lives down the street has been holding the same gym for a week now.

I looked at the Reddit threads for the first time and saw that a big problem was people spoofing GPS and taking gyms all over the place.
Stuff like this is part of the reason I pretty much quit gaming in the last several years. There is no room in the world for casual gamers, lol. I've played the hell out of Pokemon Go but still getting outrun by the super nerds, cheaters and money spenders.
Even playing as much as I do, my local gym is so stacked it's ridiculous and I'll never be able to take a run at it playing straight up.

Reminder that hackers are supposed to be DDos-ing Pokemon Go servers tomorrow, August 1st. Wouldn't plan on doing anything like lures or mass evolves...
