You get stardust from evolving? I've played this game for almost a month in secret and I feel like I still don't know shite about it.

shite, now you've got me questioning if that is correct. I assumed you did. I know you get 1 candy back from evolving so if you transfer a pidgey after evolving you really only spend 10 candy to evolve it.

I stopped playing for about a week after discovering Red and Silver Game Boy emulators. I appreciated the investment you put into Pokemon there and leveling and such compared to the randomness of the Pokemon Go. After beating Red yesterday, I checked Facebook to see they would roll out Generation 2 Pokemon once you caught 100 (which I have) fairly soon. I start up my game today after the update only to have a brand new game. shite - Did I just lose everything?

My problem is I am literally in a new city every other day and Pokemon Go is actually pretty handy for seeing things I would never have noticed even with the best of guidebooks.
It is really awesome for finding strange statues and local hangouts. Gyms are usually main tourist attractions so I can usually have a battle there. It makes the long walks that little bit more enjoyable.
I just wish it was better.

I had a thought.
What if Niantic is doing away with the tracking and making sure sites like Pokevision go down because they have plans to sell a tracking device in the shop? It make sense. They could go about it a ton of ways but one way would be to sell a tracking device in the shop that works for 24 hours. Or they could have one that works forever but cost a lot more. Another option is they create a tracking app like Pokewhere that links to your account and you can access for a monthly fee. I am sure people could come up with tons of options but the main point is that I wouldn't be surprised if Niantic suddenly has tracking back but you have to pay for it.

Yeah, if they want to really get rid of whatever fanbase is still clinging on to this game, then they can do that.

They are planning on selling a wrist/ankle band that connects to the game and notifies you if something spawns on your map when you aren't looking. That'd be some shite though if they brought back a functional tracker but put it in the store. frick that.
I'm still pissed that even when the tracker DID work, it was NOTHING like what they showed in the trailer for the game.

I think the hard core folks are upset more than the general public. I think all the general public wants is for the servers to work. I can't imagine a working tracker is that far off either.
