They faint when you are trying to take a gym. If they are holding a gym, they go to 1HP if they lose.

I thought the servers are based per release region? Like Aus, US and Eur have their own. Not just one global server, no?

I use the great if either I just don't want to frick around with it or if it is a dark orange ring. If you farm stops enough, you will have plenty of them so it isn't really an issue of running out. I have 74 great balls right now. You also get Ultra balls down the road. So if you really need that pokemon to evolve one or just want it, fire away.

I'm 21 and have only seen a few. I saw some pre-level 10. I believe it just means that pokemon is higher level than anything you currently have. Can happen at any level.

I've been curving because why not. Just start the ball in the lower left corner, spin her around and release toward the upper right. Pretty much spot on every time.

I just caught a CP ??? Venomoth in my apartment. It put a fight and broke out 2 balls but I got it. Ended up being CP131 and that's the best I have so far

I use regular balls for almost everything. I use great balls for anything I think I might keep or need for evolutions unless it's low easy catch CP. I don't really use ultra balls. I have more success with great balls. Occassionally I will try one or two, but I don't find them effective.

I'm level 14 and I never see uncaptured Pokemon near me. Is that normal?

Uncaptured as in nothing in your "near me" box, or uncaptured as in new types of pokemon?
Because in the area I live, I'd only found like 10 types of pokemon. It wasn't until I went to my office and the mall area that I found a ton of new pokemon. So yea, unfortunately, that might be normal.

I think the drops for rarer Pokemon needs to be higher. I spent a few hours on campus and the rarest things I saw were a 301 Jigglypuff and a 515 Scyther.

I'd settle for that. Rarest thing I've seen in the last few days is a low CP ekans
