The bobble heads cannot be removed from your inventory, so I am also hesitant
That makes sense. So yeah, get a stand, and that's when you can finally get it out of your inventory.

Once you do grab one, though, what do you do with it? The skill is instantly awarded, so you’re left carrying around the bobblehead. Unless you choose to sell it, of course. But are the caps worth all the trouble you went through?
If you answered no, then head on over to your settlement of choice and go into Workshop mode. Under the Furniture>Miscellaneous section, you’ll find the Bobblehead Stand. Place this anywhere you’d like and you’ll be able to store (“transfer”) your bobbleheads to it.

Finally figured out how to put armor on Dogmeat. I know you're supposed to save your stimpacks and he heals after the fight anyway but I'll be got damned if I'm gonna let that poor guy lay there whimpering

First time playing a fallout game and I thought you had to get FULL stars on all the specials before spending on perks. Since Luck is so aweomse I have Luck lvl 10 but no luck perks
I have since spent some on lockpicking and local leader once I figured it out. At least I can now get any Luck perk I guess.
I did the same exact thing. May as well get the luck 10 perk now

I have found may weapons but the best one for me so far has been the 10mm pistol I got off a legendary super mutant that took me 15 minutes to kill.
I modded it one time and it does 50 damage plus 15 damage in an area of effect. Add the fact that I have gunslinger rank 3 adding 60% base damage and range and the thing has 75ish accuracy and I have a gun I'll probably never throw away. 10mm semi auto that does 95 damage per shot? Thank you very much.
Anyone found other crazy good guns yet?

I need to get more experimental. I usually stick to what I know, even giving the short hunting rifle more of a shot over some probably better guns I've come across. I've pretty much only modded my pistol to this point.

Nothing like you just described (I'm around level 20) but I did finally find a .50 cal sniper yesterday that has me pretty jazzed. Mostly playing pistols though. Most of the legendaries I find are leather armor though

I saved up early on and bought the General Chao's Revenge sword and modded it. That thing wrecks shite.

Do I have any reason to hesitate with modding guns? Are items that rare or anything?
Posted on 11/18/15 at 10:26 am to Mr Gardoki
Not really. Adhesive is the only bottleneck in modding, and you can make it by making vegetable starch at the cooking station if you have mutifruit, tamo, corn, and purified water (which you will get from the water pumps/purifier in time)

I like to take a legendary weapon with a good perk and just rebuild it using mods from other guns that are better.
I do hate how the standard mod in each category for each weapon is an actual mod that you have to use resources to build to convert the gun back to the base model.

That thing is a beast. The one I found (first BOS mission) had the most advanced scope already on it. It tracks targets with a red arrow, even while not aiming, once I see them. I'l gun nut lvl 3, so I have that thing just maxed out. It's 1 of 2 guns I carry.
The other is a maxed out Assault Rifle that shoots the 5.56mm ammo. I love that gun.
I carry those two and a bunch of explosives all the time. I'll bring the missile launcher along if needed.
Other than that scoped .50 cal, I haven't found anything stronger than what I can mod. My legendary drops have been shite (on Hard) until I got a limb busting missile launcher yesterday.

Copper and ceramic once you start putting alot of power in the settlements.
And leather is needed for most armor mods, but the baseball guy in Diamond city can help with that. I had ignored the teddy bears until I realized I needed their leather.

True, but he was asking about weapon modding specifically.
In building copper is the bottleneck because you need it for any power build (even wires from generators) and ceramic as well (conduits).

If y'all like sniper rifles, look up on YouTube how to get the legendary gun called Reba II.

I used a ton a resources last night taking mods off of guns, but I was able to put together a couple of decent guns from them. I wish you could take mods off of legendary weapons (I don't think you can.)

I'd be interested in making one of these, I haven't found one in game yet. Do you just mod it from a combat rifle? I have a shite ton of 5.56

No, completely separate gun. I used the combat rifle until I found this one. Honestly don't even remember where. Off of random raider I believe. I got it at about lvl 21-22.
