I found one of these and LOVE it, but man it chews through ammo fast.

That's what the assault rifle looks like when equipped. Is that what you have? I just have it on semi-auto mod with circle reflex sites.

Otherwise, looks just like that.

Yep, it's the 5.56 assault rifle, don't remember what mods it has if any. I had a 10mm with extended mag an insane fire rate, I had to stop using it because of ammo consumption.

That thing is badass! I've always carried around a bunch of different guns in previous fallouts, but I can't upgrade the energy weapons in this one without sinking several points into INT, which I'm not willing to do, so I'm trying to just focus on rifles (and explosions) this run. I collect .50 cal ammo, 5.56 ammo, grenades, and missiles. I sell all other ammo, which makes me a fortune in caps b/c I have two levels of the scavenger perk.

By the way...in case anyone didn't know yet.

There is a jetpack mod for power armor. That's all I'll reveal.

You can't take the perk away, but I definitely modded a legendary before, meaning I took some mods off and replaced them with others.

I've heard the consensus is companions really cant die. They can take a beating. I had a grenade explode on Codsworth and it didn't phase him.

Yeah, the companions will just lie on the ground, but get up after a bit. I don't believe any of them can die in normal combat.

I need to try using Codsworth. Everyone keeps saying how awesome he is but I can't bring myself to leave the dog behind. He always looks so excited to come with me.

I had the opposite problem, Codsworth floats in the air, I can at least shoot over Dogmeat most of the time. I did keep Codsworth around to get the robot lover perk from him. I just like the dog too much

I have Strong as a companion. I gave him a legendary axe I found in some abandoned comic book store.

He one shots 85% of all enemies.

That happened to me for only the first time yesterday, but not in combat.

He's tracking the guy that took Shaun, gets to a doorway and barks for me to go that way, then lays his lazy arse down right in front of the entrance. The a-hole wouldn't move, and just keeps barking at me to "go this way". Went back to Sanctuary and went to bed for the night instead.

Me either! Also, I thought the "trade" option in the dialogue menu with the dog was just a joke until I finally clicked on it 3 days later. When I found out he could carry stuff for me, it blew my mind.

He usually looks for stuff that I marked to search for.
