I think considering the time I actually have to play, I'm going to skip all the settlement stuff.......at least for now. Just do some gun modding and finish the game. I haven't even messed with my power armor since I first got it.

That's what I did. I've focused all of my efforts on weapon modding and power armor. I'm in a T60E at this point and have fully modded weapons. My settlements all hate me
ETA: so does my wife

I brought my armor back to the shop where I found the dog and that's the last I did.

Yea, they get in the damn way in VATS for me a lot. I'd ditch them if they didn't carry my shite for me. Cogsworth is a beast against ghouls.

Yeah pretty much. Like you can't put two flat walls in a 1-89 or 91-179 degree angle from one another. It'll snap straight. Everything has to be at 90 degree (corner piece) or 180 degree angles.

Is there a way to tell which quests is the main line? I didn't see any markers indicating in my pipboy.

I don't think so. In previous games, you just had to keep up with what the main story is, and I want to say it's the same with this one.
It's easy. It's usually the one you forgot you had.

No not really as already said you kinda need to remember which quest are the main story missions.
Ill say this its a pickable ending where you kill off certain factions so be careful and end it with whom you please.

I just started using Codsworth last night. He totally merks any raider with his circle saw (where dogmeat was just trying to bite them
)
He says my name out loud which is a nice touch.
Also a small nice touch is that I have subtitles on, and when I skip through diaglog my character gives the ole "uh huh, yep" everytime I press X to skip it after I've read it
I finally figured out how to power houses with generators (conduits) yesterday. I cleared the brewery and the castle quest (frick that Mirelurk queen killed me about 10 times until I figured out what to do)
Can someone tell me something: I've seen screenshots with people that have like 10 power armor suits all lined up like iron man. Do you find other suits (like the t-60) or can you build them somehow?

You will find quite a few and also get one or two from quest. I take mine to "red rocket" in the garage and save them. Theres a lift in there that you can use to work on and repair power armor. what i do is take them all strip them down then with the parts build one beast one with the best rated parts i took from all.

You find them. I came across one in a cage on a train car but my lockpicking as too low.

K cool. I just cleared out the castle and made it to diamond city but I've only found the first t-45 from the mueseum.
Ive been playing for 4 days but I feel like I havent even scratched the surface

How the hell do you keep up with the story in this game? I'm already lost
Posted on 11/18/15 at 8:02 am to Mr Gardoki
I guess it's kind of frustrating, but at the same time, I like it. They aren't pushing it in your face "THIS ISN'T FLUFF", allowing you to treat every mission with equal importance if you want to. It's good to have, but I remember in Borderlands, going through the quest log and seeing "Side Mission" and "Main Mission" or whatever it said and going "well we're just wasting time here until we get back on the story".
I don't know. For me, I appreciate that about Fallout. Doing what I want and not being constantly reminded that this isn't the main part of the story.

That's a good point. I don't even know what is the main story so far, I'm guessing anything that let's me say I'm looking for my son.
I like the blurred lines between side and main missions. I'm doing minuteman stuff and it feels like a main mission.

I wasn't sure for a while, but when you get to Diamond City you know which is the main quest, beyond that I don't know I am doing side quests until I run out.
