re: Isla Mujeres for Thanksgiving Trip? - Finn on 11/18/20 at 7:10 pm
Best to take pesos as the exchange rate will be in favor of the vendor. There are a few ATMs in town to get pesos.
I plan on bringing upwards of $500 in cash with me. Going to stop at a bank here in the US for currency exchange to pesos. Which size bills (pesos) would you recom...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
re: Isla Mujeres for Thanksgiving Trip? - Finn on 11/11/20 at 4:37 pm
Does everywhere on the island accept cash or should I bring Pesos? I'm assuming the island won't have the best currency exchange rates so would I be better off grabbing pesos from my bank in the states ahead of time? I plan on renting a golf cart but will probably end up getting a hotel on the N...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Isla Mujeres for Thanksgiving Trip? - Finn on 11/10/20 at 4:15 pm
Been reading a lot on here lately and pretty much narrowed it down to Cancun or Isla mujeres for trip with the SO. I'm extending my vacation so I'll have about 7 days. Would y'all recommend spending the entire time in Isla Mujeres or spending some days in Cancun as well? We've never been and my ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (4)
re: Best bang for buck destination in the carribean - Finn on 11/9/20 at 11:59 pm
just went to Aruba for the 2nd time. The calmest water I’ve ever seen. It’s like pool water. $1,600 for flights and 4 nights for two people. Not all inclusive though so you can spend a bunch a money while at the resort if you choose to. Or just hang out at the beach and pool for free. Didn...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Best bang for buck destination in the carribean - Finn on 11/9/20 at 4:47 pm
Looking to book 4 nights end of November. Looking for pretty beach, reasonably calm water, nice resort, reasonable ease of travel. Nightlife and things to do otherwise would be a plus but would prioritize the resort/beach if had to choose...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (5)
Where to print high quality photographs? - Finn on 11/9/20 at 1:21 pm
Got some wedding photos to print. I can purchase prints from the photographer or buy digital copies and print at Walgreens/CVS. CVS would be the cheaper route but not sure how much quality degredation there would be. Or should I buy my own printer ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (6)

I have about 7 days off. Looking to take the missus somewhere. she's really been wanting to go to the beach so was thinking maybe Florida panhandle or Caribbean but not sure if worth it with weather/temperature. I could prob convince her to go elsewhere but I'm really at a loss for ideas at this ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (4)
Should I start watching the Simpsons? - Finn on 11/5/20 at 1:17 pm
Exhausted most things of interest on Disney plus for awhile now. Figured I'd give this show a shot since I'm paying the subscription anyway. Probably going to start with season 1 today. How many episodes should I give it before calling it off if Im not enjoying it?...

Internet keeps going in/out - Finn on 8/9/20 at 8:07 pm
Cox. Had it for 13 months, no issues until 1 week ago when internet basically goes out for 10-30 min at a time. Usually if I reboot the modem/router (panoramic from Cox) it starts working again only to cut out after 10 minutes. This issue has been getting worse each day. Obviously modem/router, ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
re: The Last Of Us Part II Review Thread Metacritic: 95 - Finn on 7/15/20 at 2:41 pm
I've avoided spoilers and most things about this game. My impression from the few things I've read is that the game is underwhelming and story made some questionable decisions. Is there any reason I should play this ? I've convinced myself to just not touch this game and live with the memory of...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
re: Video Doorbells: Worth it? - Finn on 7/12/20 at 9:14 pm
I was thinking about getting one of these but unsure how long it would last given my doorbell is hardwired literally on the very front of my house outside of the porched in area by the front door. Essentially, its only got about 1 foot over overhang as shelter meaning its going to get roasted by th...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
New vehicle: sedan or crossover SUV? - Finn on 6/18/20 at 5:59 pm
In the market for a new vehicle. Really tempted to get a new crossover SUV because of the extra room and elevation, but I've always been a sedan guy and feel like I might miss it. Any of you baws switch to a midsized crossover SUV after decades of driving sedans? Any regrets? ...

How to stop pop up ads on phone - Finn on 4/28/20 at 11:54 am
Keep getting redirect ads popping up on my browser, mainly when using tigerdroppings. I think they started after I accidentally clicked on a pop up ad while on this site. Not sure if that's the exact cause, but the only other thing I've done on my phone today is download an Allstate app and th...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (6)

With the quarantine I have decided to start fishing. I haven't really been since I was a kid. Looking for advice on a decent rod/reel for beginner inshore fishing mainly redfish, trout. What are some essentials I'll need that maybe I wouldn't think about at first until I need it. Tackle box g...

how to incorporate sprints into a powerlifting routine - Finn on 8/7/19 at 1:36 pm
squats + deadlifts 2x/week (monday, thursday). Would like to get sprints in 2-3x/week, but if I sprint within 2 days of a squat session, my lifts suffer tremendously. Anybody successfully incorporated sprints into their routine?...

Anyone using the amc stubs a-list card? - Finn on 6/29/19 at 6:20 pm
Is it worth it? From what I've read looks like a great deal if you see at least 3 movies a month. Are there any hidden stipulations or anything about the card you don't like?...

xbone keeps auto powering off after 5-10 minutes - Finn on 6/6/19 at 10:33 am
purchased in 2014. I believe the cooling fan is broken as my xbone keeps automatically shutting down at the 10 minute mark and the cooling fan does not start up. I opened it up to check for dust and my dumbass ended up ripping the power button strip. I can still power it on to use it if need ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
