Had some issues with freezing this morning. Whole squad got disconnected during the strike mission.

When it does work, the game is fun. Storm is the way to go.

I wish more people would set up the ranger for combo stuff.

Saw this game briefly on twitch, like 5 minutes. Am I missing anything, is it a grind game?

I played the Ranger and Colossus the most. Leaned on the ranger in the demo because the colossus had a big (fixed in final) that would bug out your health cutting it in half. For a toon with no passive shield, this was bad, but not completely game breaking. I will probably main the colossus in the final release.

The ranger is a more gun focused guy than any other class. I found myself using spark beam because it had the most single target DPS in the game from any distance. Frag grenade for AOE and detonations from others or priming myself with melee. As far as guns went, I had 2 rare components that added 10% marksman rifle damage and used the muster point for another 20% buff every now and then. I was plenty survivable and the extra damage made guns a viable source of damage.

I had the most fun with colossus when his health wasn't bugged out, ranger I had almost as much fun once I got the gear to make guns more able to handle enemies. Both colossus and ranger will probably end up being the most gear dependent guys and struggle early on vs the storm and interceptor who do more inherent damage.

The game is super fun when you could actually play and not get disconnected. They claim those issues and the major bugs are fixed in the final build and people able to play it have echoed as much.

Context tells you it refers to a game like Destiny or Borderlands where the main goal is getting better and better loot via shooting.

Ohhhhhh. That makes sense. Both games I've played too.

So, I was a day late on trying out the demo after my video card came in yesterday, but I had played an hour or two with my 1060 and enjoyed it. Wish I could have played it some with the RTX2060, but I generally have an idea of how the game will perform on launch. I got an ASUS strix 2060 and just found out that the free game that comes with the purchase is BF5 or Anthem, I had thought it was just BF5. So, I'm definitely leaning toward using the voucher on Anthem.

Love the card BTW. Since I'm still gaming with 1080p, it pretty much blows all performance out of the water as far as I've been able to try. AC:Oddessey has done really well, too, and I had considered it the hardest stress on my setup at the moment. Anyways, if you are considering making a graphics upgrade, know that you also get BF5 or Anthem with a purchase, which is effectively $60 you are saving if you actually desire either game.

BTW, I hardly ever use Origin and will need some peeps to play with once Anthem releases, so feel free to add me/or leave your ID need

Anybody looking forward to the XBOX EA Access early release tomorrow or has Apex taken all the wind from Anthem's sail? I've strategically planned my 10 hours over the next week.

The demo was terrible and boring, is this game even on anyone’s radar anymore? Apex came out of nowhere and has everyone’s attention.

Just seems like an afterthought.

Radical Heights was a gem. Lawbreakers had it's flaws but it was fun.

I may still give it a shot, but the bolded portion above is what will hurt Anthem more than anything. I just don't see Apex as competition. One is a co-op third person FPS/MMO hybrid that has no PVP. The other is a competitive BR game.

Apex Legends is also F2P, so it isn't like people are going to have to decide which game to spend their money on.
