EA needs to do something about their servers. My opponent DC’d on me last night (he had a God squad and I was busting his cheeks) after I went up 35-21 in the 4th. Game doesn’t count. This morning I’m doing a solo challenge for power up Randle. Finish game. Exit to main menu and EA is having trouble processing my results... Didn’t have a problem till late last night and I’ve been playing since EA access.

Hold R1 (PS4) and you’ll protect the ball before getting hit. Also juking into defenders sets yourself up for big hits. Depending on the LB/S, I’ll fall to the ground to prevent a fumble. WRs also don’t (and shouldn’t) have high carry ratings.

I learned this the hard way. Fricking Keanu Neal forced like 3 fumbles on me with the Saints. Kinda op in my opinion.

Anyone else find it funny that EA is shoveling out a slightly improved turd every year yet the game scored are 8’s? This game looks awful.

How long does it usually take for a good roster to be created in franchise mode?
I made it to week 3 and downloaded one. I found Burrow and scouted him. He was projected as a 6th rounder. After i scouted him it said early 1st. Then every other player I scouted also said early first. I going to sim the season and see where they are all rated and then start over, but I'm expecting that roster to be crap, with every player rated too high.

I seem to remember this issue coming up last year as well. I don't think it's the roster file itself as much as just a game glitch that fricks up all created draft classes.

So would that mean that the draft class may be fine and I should just continue on with the season, instead of waiting for another?

I'm enjoying the Face of the Franchise mode so far. My only gripe is that every time I hit someone with a truck stick they fumble. My receivers also drop a ton of passes that hit their hands and it's frustrating. I may have to adjust my sliders.
I also don't get why they wouldn't accept my actual last name as the QB1 name. It ended up accepting Flynn after denying Burrow, Mettenberger, and Etling.

How are you able to play with the rest of the team outside of the first two games? Once I got into the NFL, it only let me play as my quarterback.

Face of the franchise is fun, and it seems like the progression is pretty quick. I went from 71 to 78 after just the preseason and 4 regular season games.
I’ve only been able to play as the QB as well.

Yea I progressed my guy really fast. I did do an easier difficulty as I haven't played a madden game in close to a decade, so that absolutely helped. Got my guy to 99 overall by the end of the first season.
The mode is basically the same as the NCAA road to the heisman mode. I do wish you could play more than just the QB though.

Progression is a little ridiculous. My guy started at a 97 throwing power from college. I'm playing for the Raiders and I don't know if I just suck a lot or interceptions are way too easy to throw because I am throwing a lot of them right now. I'm not normally that bad, plus I'm not playing on All Pro like I usually do. I'm on Pro.

Don't feel bad, I've thrown 8 TDs and 8 Ints so far. I know it's an Int as soon as it leaves my hands. Sometimes I just get greedy.

Have not played Madden in a long time. Played some online matches...some things I noticed.
1. Pass rushing is freaking hard.
2. Running is effective but eats up so much clock it's not so fun because the games all end up being something like 10-7
3. A good tight end seems to be almost always open
4. Lamar Jackson is insanely fast and if your opponent does not put a spy on him you can run for 200+ yards and destroy them. Honestly taking off with the QB works fairly well in this game in general.
5. Lamar Jackson is also so insanely fumble prone he will lose a fumble by just diving.
6. Opponents return kickoffs unless they are out of the end zone
7. Mahomes can throw it 50 yards falling backwards and perfectly hit a target
8. Most popular teams were the Cowboys, Rams and Chiefs. I never once saw the Patriots.
Anyways I did not so much enjoy playing it by myself but when I got high and played it with some friends and just traded off the controller I had a freaking blast.

Every player fumbles when diving into a defender. Hold L2 + R2 when diving. It’ll cut into those fumbles.

Just got he game on Xbox, I'm hot garbage at it but if anyone wants to play or league I'm in. I've been having ALOT of connection issues playing online but it always says "your opponent is having..." not sure if I believe that as now I have a bunch of losses after being disconnected but whatev.

I've given up playing most sports games online. The connection issues are just so bad all the time.
