My top two:
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Ninja Gaiden black

Currently on a replay through Ninja Gaiden II and the topic crossed my mind.

I can see Spelunky 2 being one for me in a few years

Witcher 3.

Started playing again after 4 years. Have all the DLC but haven’t even touched those areas yet.

I love the game but I usually grind it for a couple weeks then get busy or burnt out. It’s a very time consuming game. Some missions are 20 minutes of dialogue and the the fight take forever ( playing on hardest difficulty)

Arkham Asylum. The last battle annoyed me in the bat mobile. Not enough patience for those types of fights.

So you mean Arkham Knight.

I finally finished Far Cry 3 last week. I hadn't been playing it a lot over the last few years, but considering how many hours I put into it, it was good to get that out of the way.

I'm in chapter 12 out of 15 in FFXV. I have tried and failed to stick with this game since it came out. I'm close enough to where I'll see it through to finally get a FF game notch on my belt.

Also Skyrim. It’s the game I have the most hours playing but I haven’t come close to beating it.

I accidentally skipped the DLC before going into a NewGame+ so 2nd time around I tried to hit it as soon as I leveled up for it to get the benefit of the new stat mechanics.

It's pretty and the new mechanics are interesting to mess with, but OH BOY if you don't like lengthy dialogue scenes and being railroaded into quest chains that take a while to be able to step back from to go back to the open world stuff, you're gonna have a time with that.

Phantasy Star II is up there.

I tend to get frustrated with the overhead maze buildings so I play for a while, save, then come back to it much later.

After Fallout 3 I decided to never play another game similar. I spent so much time in fallout it started to feel like a chore so I decided to skip Skyrim even though I heard great things.

Red Dead 2.

Bought it on release day. I can't even remember what chapter I'm on. I have plenty of fun everytime I play it but I just can't motivate myself to..

Still have never been able to finish original TNMT.

I didn't beat Ninja Gaiden until I was 31, now I can speedrun it, only 6 minutes behind world record pace too

I’m 35 and have been playing Ninja Gaiden since it came out, I think my problem is I’m going for a “perfect run”. If I have a misstep or use something then feel it would have been more useful later I just scrap the play through and start over.

Turok 2. Don't think I ever got out the first level without cheats.

Same.

I always get somewhere right around the Angelo Bronte introduction and just lose interest or something.

Dragon Age Inquisition
Watch Dogs 2

Always say I'm going to beat them but can never make it halfway through due to either boredom or being pulled away by a more exciting game
