I don’t even play FN but I can agree this is true. The popular meme is that FN is a child’s game... its way too complex with the building and situational awareness.
I never won a FN solo. I’ve won three in PUBG in about five hours of play
yeah, fortnite has the "noob and kid" reputation but the you can't even compare the skill ceilings of the other BRs. that's why I keep coming back to it. easy to pick up and play, but very difficult to master.
playing field is much more even in COD/Apex/etc

People say this but my k/d and win % are the exact same in blackout and fortnite. 3.25 k/d and 12% win.
And the three people I play with normally did better in fortnite.

Fortnite has well over 200 million registered players. Let’s give it 1-2 months then see where it is.
Registered players does not equal players currently playing. Half of those numbers could be people who made an account, played over the weekend, and never played again.

And you think 25 million people are playing Apex right now? Hell no. That’s just downloads so far.
All I’m saying is Apex is a shiny new toy, and it will fad just like Blackout, PUBG, H1Z1, and Realm Royale. Meanwhile Fortnite continues to stick around, and even compete with Netflix.
Fortnite is not going anywhere, and if you think Apex is gonna kill it, than you’re just being ignorant.

I never said Apex will kill Fortnite.
Fortnite will kill Fortnite
Fortnite will kill Fortnite

Hard for a game to kill itself when they just had 10 million people on concurrently. No other game is getting those numbers. Peak Destiny 2 was at like 4.5 million for like a week. Meanwhile back in November Fortnite was at 8.3 million a night. Fortnite will revel in the competition, and reel everyone back in. Trust me.

K/D don't mean shite in Fortnite BTW or really any game. Depends on who you play with.
Does your crew do better in COD? Higher K/D as everyone is doing well. Crew sucks at Fortnite and your skill level is much higher and can't get out of bad situations because of it? Lower K/D.
Also bush campers can get free kills a game and raise the K/D. While the much much better player drops tilted and gets 0-2 kills for 10 straight games before getting a 20 kill win. 2 K/D.
It's a metric but doesn't define the player.

I play with the same two guys. (Always just 3 in quads) We play aggressive. Always have. In both games. I get the logic of why people say it should be harder but fortnite and blackout I preform exactly the same.

Come on man.

It’s 25 million who have played.
They had 2 million concurrent.
Games been out 7 days.
It’s okay for other games to be successful. You don’t need to defend fortnite.

Fortnite is dying and he can’t deal brah

KD really doesn’t mean that much without context. Obviously someone with a 3 will be better than someone with a .3 but someone with a 1.5 KD could absolutely be better than someone with a 3 KD

You can’t compare anything to Fortnite. It’s a revolutionary game compared to the likes of Halo 2 or Modern Warfare 2. Apex is peaking already.

quote:It's like Fortnite players have intentionally erased League of Legends from their minds. League has 27 million daily players and 67 million active accounts monthly and as was stated earlier, it's only on one platform and not available on console. It's fine to support your game, but chill.

quote:Nevermind the fact that I explicitly stated what the statistics were. Sorry you got so upset looking at the rankings.
hmmmmmm
screw the science behind statistics.
Being behind League is one thing, but CS:GO's daily concurrent playerbase barely hits 500k. If Fortnite is already falling behind that, that's not a good trend. It also doesn't bode well that the most "serious" of the platforms would rather play a 7 year old shooter than Fortnite.

Those stats are based on people who use one of Overwolf apps on the overwolf app store. A quick browse at their shop (which I may have missed something so correct me if I'm wrong) shows the fortnite exclusive app with the most users has 103k downloads, while the most popular CS app by downloads is 400k.
I think The best example to show that we can't use that site as the end all be all for player base is the fact that it has Dota 2 2 spots behind R6.
Obviously the site could be correct in the playercount numbers, but I think we definitely have to take it with a grain of salt

That is true. I would say it's probably more of an indication of the region than the global account it claims to be.

Anyways. I wasn’t talking about that.
I was just saying that I, the same player and play style, that plays with the same people, has nearly an identical k/d and win % in both games. I put an insane amount of hours into both games.

I never said that you weren't good. I'm saying that K/D does not matter without context. It's one metric that can establish a player.
Ninja has one of the highest K/D's in fortnite, do you think he can outplay and beat the likes of the actual pro players in a 1v1 or win in a skirmish? Maybe 2 out 10 but not consistently.

Lol okay.
Let me ask you this question and let you ponder from it. Is it easier to get kills when your team is cohesive and in sync?

Same thing as question before. You have chemistry with your team. It's easier to kill people that doesn't have good or any communication to the others. Do you really think a person with a 4 K/D with 3 .5 K/D's with no mic are going to win against a team with all 2+ K/D and full communication?
Now what if that same 4 K/D were to play with those .5 K/D players all the time and got some communication but the other players stay bad. That 4 K/D is going to drop a bunch.
