Lol okay.
Let me ask you this question and let you ponder from it. Is it easier to get kills when your team is cohesive and in sync?

I play with the same two guys. (Always just 3 in quads) We play aggressive. Always have. In both games. I get the logic of why people say it should be harder but fortnite and blackout I preform exactly the same.
Same thing as question before. You have chemistry with your team. It's easier to kill people that doesn't have good or any communication to the others. Do you really think a person with a 4 K/D with 3 .5 K/D's with no mic are going to win against a team with all 2+ K/D and full communication?
Now what if that same 4 K/D were to play with those .5 K/D players all the time and got some communication but the other players stay bad. That 4 K/D is going to drop a bunch.

This is why people hate Fortnite.
It's not dying but it isn't growing either. I think it's your terminology that is the problem.
The continued success of Fortnite depends heavily on the streamers and pro players. If they can't keep up high level play and incentives, the streamers won't stream that game and the social followers of them won't play anymore. Fortnite has to get esports ready in order to have longevity as the only games that continue to prosper are competitive style games.

Nevermind the fact that I explicitly stated what the statistics were. Sorry you got so upset looking at the rankings.
Being behind League is one thing, but CS:GO's daily concurrent playerbase barely hits 500k. If Fortnite is already falling behind that, that's not a good trend. It also doesn't bode well that the most "serious" of the platforms would rather play a 7 year old shooter than Fortnite.
Again, you stated PC stats only. CS:GO is only PC now as it was originally on Xbox 360. League is PC only. Fortnite has the other players from mobile and console that the stats are not showing. Arguably the average player base is still on console.
Plus those are esports titles and are very prominent in serious gamers around the world. It doesn't surprise me they are still going strong. They still hold tournaments.

This guy really thinks Fortnite has less than 500k concurrent players a day. That’s hilarious.

I never said that you weren't good. I'm saying that K/D does not matter without context. It's one metric that can establish a player.
Go back and read my comments. I was never trying to say I was good. What I was saying is I don't feel (this is just me) the so called difference in skill gap. I play the same way with the same guys and have the same success. And I am not just saying that, I could show the tracker.
This isn't a debate about how good I am or not.
Now I understand that with the fortnite mechanics there is a lot to process so that is why the gap can be very large from a new player to a pro. I am just saying in general it felt the same to me.

I would imagine. But I play with the same team in both games.

I was comparing my numbers in both games. Once again, wasn't trying to say any of this.

I wasn't trying to go that direction.
Are you on console or PC? I think that can clear up a little.
The skill gap in players is larger on PC than on console.
A new player on PC is most likely, in this social hype era, a new gamer as well and learning the KB/M. While the top level players have been playing for many years. That coupled with easier/better aiming, editing, building, and fps, the skill gap is huge.
On console, most of the player base have been on a controller for years. It's harder to edit and build on a controller so most don't do it. This makes the gap smaller.

I may have gotten off the message you were trying to convey.

I agree. I play ps4.

Played Apex last night for the first time. Fun game with a cool feel to it. Will definitely play a lot.
That being said, no way it pulls the young demographic off fortnite for more than a few weeks. There's no social aspect, no attention whoring, and no pop culture supporting it in mainstream athletics/music. ALL of those things are necessary to get those fricking young idiots to pay attention. Very few are true gamers just yet. They just want emotes and skins to show off to their friends and brag about during recess.
I will probably play both, whichever yall folks are on at the time.

As somebody who played fortnite from day 1. None of this was there for months. Hell there wasn't even any worthwhile skins until Halloween 2017 .... I remember.
Nobody seems to listen to what anyone else actually says here. My comments were addressing how Bonkers said the game will be dead in a month. Never said it will supplant Fortnite as the game all 8 year olds play.

I believe you, I started a week before season 3 so wasn't OG.
I know there's zero way to figure it out, but would be cool to see age demographic numbers over time for each season. I feel like the game has gotten much younger season to season as popularity grew?

All the kids got really good over the summer when they stayed home and played Fortnite all day. Think about how good you were in May compared to now. That's my theory anyway

no doubt. they have nothing else to do. Can't tell you how many friends I have with kids that had a serious problem this summer with it, to the point where the baseball coaches were trying to get parents to ban it
Posted on 2/13/19 at 10:07 am to txpurpleandgold
Probably some truth to that but all pvp games come to this. Especially games without SBMM, which all BR games dont have. Eventually new players stop coming and you go against nothing but skilled players.
Posted on 2/13/19 at 10:27 am to Mystery
Yeah I really think they need a ranked mode. It's fun to play with my friends and get the occasional win but I don't have time to put in the practice to "git gud". The other day in duos me and my buddy get down to one guy left and we're like "we got this". He proceeds to build and edit like Tfue and wins the game as a solo with 17 kills. Looked him up and he has almost a 5 K/D. No way I should be in a lobby with that guy.
Posted on 2/13/19 at 10:30 am to txpurpleandgold
Most of those guys would still likely play in regular pub lobbies, so ranked wouldn't help that much.

True, but it would eliminate some of them. People will always want to pubstomp but I would think it would get old after a while.
