Ranked by individual play sessions each month on PC. 2nd month in a row Fortnite has finished behind League and CS:GO.

So a game that is on Xbox, PS4, Switch, Android, iOS, and PC is behind two that are exclusive or primarily played on PC and doesn't count the rest of the players......hmmmmmm

screw the science behind statistics.

So all the streamers that got paid to stream Apex are pumping up the numbers for a game that will be dead in about a month. Seems like a great marketing strategy. At least Fortnite's growth was organic, and not paid for.

This is funny. This sounds like the PUBG guys when fortnite first released. This is an entire different animal than Blackout.

I don't mind the success of Apex. I wanted Blackout to be successful. I want games with constant developer support. I wanted PUBG to die because the developer sucked and doesn't deserve the longevity. Epic has done a great job with continued support and patching.

That is fine. But thinking Apex will be dead in a month is some horrible logic. It had 10 million unique players in 3 days. It is free. It has a road map for continued content. It is developed by a great studio.

I know that wasn't your comment. I was just pointing out his silly comment.

there's an update tomorrow?

if there is, there's going to be a split between the $50k apex tourney and the new fortnite update. with a majority of the top streamers playing in the tourney, i don't expect to see a big change in viewership.

Everyone is just playing Apex to try and compete in the tourney, and Fornite is in a dead week finishing up season 7. Once season 8 comes out Fortnite will be king again where it has been for the last year.

The 25 million players they hit in 1 week are all getting tournament ready?

I’m confused. Are we talking about players or Twitch viewership? Cause Fortnites registered players blows Apex’s out the window. Fortnite has well over 200 million registered players. Let’s give it 1-2 months then see where it is.

You said a game that will be dead in a month.
I’m not comparing it to fortnite.

You can’t compare anything to Fortnite. It’s a revolutionary game compared to the likes of Halo 2 or Modern Warfare 2. Apex is peaking already.

Of course Apex is popular because it’s for casual gamers that just want to pick up a gun and shoot. The skill gap in Fortnite has gotten so large that a casual gamer can’t just pick it up and play otherwise they’ll get crapped on real quick, and it won’t be fun for them.

Fortnite is extremely popular because it appeals to casuals.

Yes, but it also has the highest skill ceiling of any other BR games, which is why it’s appealing to me

Lol. This eventually happens with all pvp games. People move on. The guys who put in a lot of time stay. Trust me there is a huge skill gap in Apex.

I don’t even play FN but I can agree this is true. The popular meme is that FN is a child’s game... its way too complex with the building and situational awareness.

I never won a FN solo. I’ve won three in PUBG in about five hours of play
