FTR, i'm against surgery in that fashion, and I'm especially against parents allowing their children to do so at an early age. Kids are in no position to make life altering choices like that when they are that young and parents shouldn't push them towards that based on the whims of an undeveloped mind and psyche.
But none of that was the point of what I was discussing. But thanks for making it that.

I got into the DA games at Inquisition, which I liked.
But I really don’t like going back and playing older games. Something about having worse graphics and usually worse
mechanics.
This game looks fornite-esque. I am somewhat concerned about that, but i bought a PS5 almost solely for NCAA and that’s starting to get boring. so I am desperate for a new RPG or I am just gonna buy Skyrim for a 3rd console generation.

Baldurs Gate 3
Pillars of Eternity
Pillars of Eternity 2
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
Final Fantasy XVI
Ghosts of Tsushima
All should scratch the itch. . .probably all better than Veilguard. Not to say Veilguard will be bad. . .just that the above are all amazing

people have been pooping all over this game, even worse than ubisofts flops.

This report with interview from a tester says another thing entirely:
Loading Twitter/X Embed...
If tweet fails to load, click here. quote:Straight males have only 2 options to romance is pretty wild
- Game is super woke. Pronouns in your face.
- Qunari companion literally introduces themselves with immersion breaking modern language "I identify myself as non-binary."
- Romances were, and still may be gender locked UNLESS you choose a pronoun other than he/him, you MUST be pansexual or you were/are restricted to TWO romance options (Neve and Harding) while other choices may romance anyone. (this might have changed due to BG3 success and influence).
- Solas is SIDELINED HARD. Made into a minor character with little importance or development until suddenly important at end of game, and that ending is "Baffling" and not in a good way, (but no spoilers revealed.)
- The story is "disappointment after disappointment."
- Facial animation is "Andromeda all over again" and "plastic" which I assume is a lot of "my face is tired" quality.
- Inquisitor and Inquisition is corrupt and may not be of any help even if you didn't disband it. Choices don't matter "It's Mass Effect 3 again."
- Rook SIDELINED, backstory wasted. Just a guy in a bar, very much diminished.
- Tester feedback IGNORED. Boss said "It's very good feedback, but I can't send it to them (the devs). It's very good but ..." Basically you can't talk about how the woke stuff is making the game worse. It's not something you can talk about, even if it is ruining the game.
- Grey Warden Davrin, a newcomer who never finished his training, gets to influence and make important decisions for the Grey Wardens solely because he is a PoC. "Gets to decide everything."
- The segment of gameplay in The Fade is a boring "walking simulator" with just some fetch quests. Completely wasted opportunity.
- Other major characters like Varric, turned into mere "advisors" and pushed to the back of the story.
- "It's so far removed from Origins, that it's crazy that it's in the same universe."
Facial animation thing is very troubling
Modern day gender phraseology is just. . .what the hell
Rook sidelined? isn't he the player character?

Sicboy posted that they nailed it, though.

I'm not sure if it is accurate, because the Rook comment
Unless Rook is only the PC at the beginning, or something

Does anyone like The Fade segments in Dragon Age games?

No
Nobody does
This sounds like they made it more insufferable

The Fade could have been good had they really leaned into it. Instead they went with slightly more dream like with significantly more boring gameplay

Should have done it more like the oblivion gates

Oh I’m aware, though I’ve never installed it.
Considered it, though
Speaking of the Oblivion gates, it’s been many years, but I found the sweet spot on my last playthrough: straight up ignore going to Kvatch until you’re ready to blast through the main storyline. The ludonarrative dissonance always killed me with Oblivion. The world is literally ending, but I’m running around doing bullshite errands for everyone.
But frick it, I just got out of jail, and the Emp is spouting off with some crazy shite. I’m getting back out into the world and I’ll get to that when I get to it.
Then once I do and the world starts ending, I stop what I’m doing because, oh shite the world is ending. Then once I save the world, I get back to my shenanigans.
Feels much better to me that way.

That is one of the things I like. . .and also hate about Kingdom Come
If you aren't where you are supposed to be, when you are supposed to be there, the quest goes on without you.
Because the world doesn't revolve around you.
I like it. . .but it is extremely anxiety inducing
