Did EA Shoot Themselves in the Foot With SWTOR ?

I believe they did BIG TIME.
I think this 1.2 version patch is the version that Bioware intended to be the launch version of the game and that EA forced them to release for Christmas.
I think if they had launched now with this version that the player base as a whole would have been much happier with the game.
Instead... they launched early, and the game really just wasn't truly ready. I think it has cost them dearly.

If this is what they meant to do to troopers to begin with. . .then why even add them as a playable class?
Just like monks after EQ1 nerfed them. I can't think of a single reason to seek out a Trooper over any other tank. In fact, all other tanks have better aggro's, stuns, and AoE.

Wouldn't surprise me if ME3's launch was pressed too early by EA.
Everything they acquire eventually ends up turning to shite.

I don't understand why the try to rush these things. Bethesda takes 4-5 years for each of the Elder Scrolls games and they are doing fine.
There is no need to rush games. They could have taken another year to release ME3 and I'm still positive it would have had as high of release sales as it did.

I played SWtOR for two months and stopped. The unique story lines for the class/path choice was cool until you realized you had to all the same zone over for each freaking one.
Skyrim is still in the to 3 for best selling games on Steam right now 5 months after release, I want some DLC now dammit!!!!

In two years it will be free 2 play. Just about everything EA touches loses its originality and turns to shite. I dont know why they dont drop all the pretenses and focus on console based horde mode style multiplayer and sports games.

I'm not in game dev but I am involved with software dev, it's always here's half the money, do this in half the time that we originally agreed too but we still want almost all of the original requirements.
