Describe an ideal game you would want to come out in the near future.

And then see if it exists based on people’s replies in the thread, and maybe you just haven’t played it.
I really just want an absolutely massive open world fantasy game where you build your character stats, gear, and find great loot. But I want it to be insanely huge and I want you to be able to try and create better gear by combining ingredients and mats. Want it to be entirely free roaming and to have very realistic graphics and physics. Interesting NPCs to talk to who will take you on side quests. Want it to be entirely immersive and realistic. Think Skyrim and Witcher but on steroids and no repetitive quests.
Does this game already exist and I am missing it? What do you guys want to see in the future?

Any of the two that I want to play, in working form. I'm over the early access, never completed model.

A VR version of For Honor, just so I can prove my hand to hand combat skills.

I want a MMO with a player generated economy (crafting / selling 95% of available gear), but in a 3rd person action format, similar to what Anthem looks like.
The best loot is just components for a master builder to make your badass gear, and you can have 2 toons on the server. One for economy and 1 for fighting. Player housing and fully functional cities too.
Take the combat mechanics of Destiny or the upcoming Anthem, add more gear options sort of like Mass Effect 1 had, mix in resource farming and player cities / vendors in a multi planet sci-fi setting, and let it rip.

I know, that's a pretty ambitious dream... but you said ideal

Cyberpunk 2077 looks incredible. It's going to be a wait but I think it will be in the running for GOAT.

I want Rockstar to develop a game similar to Red Dead and GTA but set in the late 18th century when US is discovered.
Essentially the game takes you through the time periods of the developing western civilization with similar main story missions and side missions that we all know of.

For a couple of years now, I’ve been throwing around an idea for a stealth based/survival game, I even went as far as writing down a partial storyline. Anyway, you play a special forces soldier named “Lex”, who was part of a six man team that was being flown in via helicopter at night deep inside the jungles of Indochina on a secret assassination mission. The mission became more complicated when your chopper crashed because of low visibility (fog) and you were the only one to survive with limited ammo and gear (pistol, knife, med kit and portable communication)
Open world game in which you have to survive not only the enemy of the region, but also what the jungle throws at you (hunger, thirst, disease, animals, etc). You have to loot weapons and gear from the enemy and survive off the land. There’ll be villages that you come across that you can find help but the npc’s will be very wary of you and you can’t trust just anybody, because someone in a village will narc you out to the enemy. Its up to you to figure out who to trust.
Your portable communications that you’ll use to receive main missions can only be used in certain areas of the map to avoid enemy detection and those areas you’ll have to locate. If you try to use it somewhere else and get detected, you’ll be in a fight for your life.

I want a game sort of like madden
But not the nfl, I want college teams
Oh, and I want it made by someone other than EA Sports
On a serious note, after playing the shite out of RDR2, I’d really like rockstar to make a game based off of The Walking Dead... sort of a state of decay/RDR blend

That sounds like the worst game I’ve ever heard of. Why do people want hunger and thirst mechanics in video games? Get rid of the mundane shite, and just give me balls to the wall Doom level chaos any day of the week.
My vote is an open world Game of Thrones with complex political maneuvering and dark souls style combat. A very subdued magic system that lets you choose between fire, ice, or the many faced god if you’re playing an assassin or rogue class. Also let you pick between several starting houses and command your military/house forces, and if you frick up too bad, you get sent to the wall which would have its own storyline.
