Nah I get it .. I just really enjoy the current version.
I'm sure I'll still have fun playing this version as well

Sounds like it's a dumpster fire tbh. Reviews are terrible and consensus is, it's a $30 DLC.
And at least on the PC platform via Steam, the player numbers yoy are down 25%.

I tried the MP beta and it didn’t run well on my PC. RIP.

It should have been a $30 expansion, yes
It’s nostalgic and a nice return to form on movement tech. I don’t think it’s much more than that tbh. It is what it is, my buddies had to goad me into buying but it’s nice to have a group to run with whenever a couple of us are on.

Imo, the old maps look and play great, even if some of them are wayyyy too big for my playstyle. The new 3/4 aim is badass and I use it almost exclusively.
The zombies mode I’ve played about an hour of and, while I miss the old closed map style, it has been a lot of fun.
The campaign blows outside the opening mission and like one or two other normal missions. The open world missions were a miss.
All in all, it’s the madden of FPS. Idk what people are expecting. It hits its itch everywhere except the campaign.

What’s this?

It’s a mix between hip fire and ads. Instead of full ads it’s canted. You can move and ads much much much faster than if you were full ads and it’s way more accurate than simple hip firing.

I enjoy the multi.
One of my biggest if not the biggest complaint for CoD as of late have been the terrible maps. I enjoy just about every map in this rotation. A few I can snipe on which I haven’t done in CoD for a while now.
The daily challenges thing is dumb. Just let me level the gun to unlock all the attachments. Not as bad as last years way of unlocking, but still bad.
The flinch in too strong imo and I feel like they amplified it so that you consider the perk that reduces it.

Yes it’s fun. COD was never a realistic shooter. They tried to do what you probably wanted last year and it was terrible

this..said many times, Im simply enjoying it for what it is..
i do catch myself being surprised by "F...I really thought this was an old BF Map, not CoD"

Looks like a reskinned mw2 not buying it until it goes on sale.

i feel like people who say this are not their target audience and are clearly under 40

I'm not even sure what this means? Did you expect it to be completely different from MW2? Sure, it plays similarly and the mechanics are almost the same. Its new maps, new guns, a new (short) campaign. It brought back some maps that I haven't personally played in years, but its fun. I actually like it better than MW2.
Someone earlier described it as more of a DLC and I would agree with that before calling it "reskinned".

I heard the campaign was awful, which is the main reason I buy COD games. All multiplayer is about the same.

There's about 10,000 games with a better single player campaign. COD campaigns are a joke. Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone are the bread and butter of COD.

Zombies is just DMZ with zombies. Which i don’t really mind but I only play zombies solo and at this point it’s pretty much impossible.
except unlike DMZ, there's no enemy operators. That's what made DMZ great IMO. It was essentially battle royale with only 1/3 of the players, so it was more practical to play strategically.

False..plenty of zombie operators in this one

There are also mercenaries with guns that try to stop you from completing contracts. The drop down in helicopters while you are trying to secure a hive and shite like that.

Exactly why I bought it knowing that even if it sucked it was still going to be better than over half the games they put out since.

i’d argue it’s been quite a while since COD gave a frick about 6v6 multiplayer.

TBH they had to do so much to unfrick MW2 that $70 was probably what it’s worth
