Question time.
Will this be a separate client or just separate servers?
Everyone will be starting fresh and leveling to 60? No char transfers?
If i were to renew my sub and start leveling toons to figure out which i want to play the most, would it be the same experience or are the spells/abilities and progression different in the current bfa version than what vanilla was?
Will this be a separate client or just separate servers?
Everyone will be starting fresh and leveling to 60? No char transfers?

Great question regarding client/server.
Everyone is fresh. Leveling to 60. No transfers. Pure Vanilla.
No idea on current BFA version. I haven't played.

There will be a huge difference in spells, talent trees, QoL upgrades, etc.
Personally I would jump back in if I were you just to get a feel for it but Classic won't feel like the same game.

If I resub and play on a classic server would that have vanilla settings and such? im spending 20-50 a week on facebook games i would happily trade that for $15 sub.

When Classic is fully released in August you will able to play Classic servers with Vanilla only settings or regular “retail” servers.

From personal experience, the Classic beta has handled large numbers of players on screen casting abilities far better than retail has in years. The starting areas are absolutely packed with people running around killing the same mobs and I've had zero FPS issues.

Was able to level my Tauren TehBBC to level 5 in 45 min even with disconnects and a loaded zone.
I had more conversation with a bunch of level 5's in an hour than I did in a month on retail.

My brother said the same thing. He even picked up his graphics settings. Said it ran very smoothly.

Classic is running on their new servers, which were updated in legion. That is why it is so smooth and you also have the option for certain graphics upgrades.
It will show as a separate game on the Blizz Launcher.

Lookout on May 29th I believe they are allowing the first stress testers to come back and level to 10 in another stress test.

We have just wrapped up the first stress test for WoW Classic and while we understand the concerns that a number of you have mentioned, it helped us in many ways. Testing the login process is certainly an aspect that is very important for us to explore and we did gather some valuable data yesterday, so we appreciate everybody who logged in or even attempted to do so during the testing window – you have helped us prepare WoW Classic for release. That said, because of some of the issues that were encountered, we were not able to test other aspects that we’d planned for. As a result, we will be doing another stress test on Wednesday, May 29 from 2-4pm PDT. The stress test realm will become available at 2pm PDT and the level cap will be increased to 10. For access, we will be including everybody who was invited to the test on May 22. Similar to last time, the stress test realm will continue to be available until 4pm PDT on Thursday, May 30 so there is additional time to check out the starting experiences. Please keep in mind that while more issues? could impact the play experience, it is very important to perform these tests so we can learn about and fix as many of them as possible before the release on August 27. We thank you for your continued support and we’ll see you back on the WoW Classic stress test realm very soon. Hogger also sends his regards…

eventually all the vanilla content is going to get released, and it's just gonna be doing the same stuff over and over again. Play

Baws I know im probably being facetious but I dont think Blizz understands the amount of player base heading toward Classic.
It was everything great about pure MMO's and community.
The only shitty thing about it right now seems to be the fricking streamers and their stupid minions.

Streamers have definitely become a meme in the chats on the beta.
I've been having fun on the beta so far. It's a totally different game than retail. I haven't played real hard or try to go real fast, but I'm sitting at level 20 and have about 16 hours played. I'd probably be double (or more) on retail.
It just takes a lot of work and there's always something to do. It's exactly how it used to be, which is what the community wants.

They are a virus that will have to be dealt with. It's literally the only thing that didnt exist at inception of Vanilla way back in 04 and only by the time Naxx and AQ40 came around you had composite YouTube video for things.
Streamers still didnt exist.

I love the fact that you actually have to read the quests and SEARCH (heaven forbid we have to do that) for the things to do in the quest log.

It's the single most impactful change for me. Gameplay, mechanics, and class design is something that I remember pretty well.
I still am constantly looking at my minimap and pulling up my map looking for "?"s or dots showing where I need to go for quests, simply out of habit.
Running everywhere without mounts slows the game down as well but it's an easy adjustment. Quest helper integrated into the game was a huge crutch.

I don't really have a problem with streamers in wow to be honest. It's not something that bothers me.
I stream wow a little bit (nothing try hard) just so my friends that don't play can see some gameplay, but that's about it.
I've seen some hunters running around naming their pets "TwitchPrime" and some character names with "twtv" at the end of their names and I find that pretty funny.
Some of the bigger streamers like Asmongold and Sodapoppin have had some pretty cool content come out from the beta though, I'll give them that.
