That's never in doubt with BF games.

At least not yet.

Im legitimately pissed. I won't be able to play one of the best shooters because it is being held hostage.

5 years later.

EA: " DICE, the fans are on to us and they are about to make a push into the building. How is the hostage? It is our only fricking way of making it out of this alive. "

DICE: " Hostage is on standby boss. What do we do? What do we do? We don't want to lose our jobs.

EA: " Do you think we can hold them off with a battlefield 4 remaster?"

DICE: ::mumblesinthebackground:: " Can EA hear us?"

" No paul ive got hand over the phone."

" For fricks sake peter why did you let this company buy us out?"

EA: " Hello....." We can barely her you?"

DICE: " Shut the frick up steve, don't act like you wouldn't have sold out. Plus they promised us Battlefront."

" How has that worked out for us Paul?"

EA: " Hello?:

DICE: " Sorry..Yes boss, we do not believe that a remaster of battlefield 4 will stop the madness."

EA:...................."Well then we have no choice......................we are going code red..."

DICE: " Does that mean...."

EA: " Yes release the hostage. Call gamestop and the press...we will announce BC3.."

DICE: ::handsoverphone:: " Thank god steve...we are going to be okay..tell your family we are going to be okay!"

EA: " Oh and don't forget to add micro-transactions and loot crates.."

DICE:

Bad Company should have been the in between. There was no need to stick to the old school for two straight installments. I really don't get it.

This. The gamers want some variety. Now would be perfect for a good modern shooter. Let WWII be the one after that. Then go to a somewhat modern or maybe like a Vietnam era.

There's nothing that 3 did that I feel I don't get out of 4. If you want to go on about the maps, well, that's preference. I loved both, so I'm not trying to jam on 3 at all.

Lmao never saw that one.

But I feel like 3 flowed better and had better gunplay. 4 was a little clunky but look i still enjoyed it.

4 had that awful launch but they righted the ship. I'm still playing it.

I love 4, but I’d marry 3 and put the poon on a pedestal. It’s my favorite game EVER.

The feel of BF3 is just so perfect for me. It just checked all the boxes.

I know it gets overplayed but just think of the Operations game mode for the D-Day invasion.

I am actually pretty stoked, I hope this returns to the BF3/4 feeling and just the background for that dev build tells me a little.

Will obviously wait for some more details and gameplay but I am cautiously excited.

I still miss the USAS and the AN-94 from bf3. Flying the choppies in 4 and absolutely owning the skies is one of my fondest memories from 4. I don't dislike the move to WWII but Battlefield 1 didn't hold my attention like 3 or 4 did.

I've had Bad Company 2 for years now and never actually played it. It was during a Steam sale and was priced so low that I bought it just because.
It's too bad they won't remaster 2. I got a lot of mileage out of that game before everyone moved on to 2142 and Call of Duty 4.

Sounds like Nostalga.

4 feels like an updated 3.

Yea I wanted another modern BF, but what could they possibly do that they already haven’t done with BF3 & BF4 without it just being those 2.0?

A BF in the WWII setting will be fun.

But again, BF isn't a yearly installment game. They have time to update and improve upon the formula. I think 4 was so similar to 3 because it was falling right on the edge of current and next gen. Wasn't a lot they were going to be able to do to accomodate both generations of consoles. I feel we're removed enough from 4/Hardline for a modern game to seem fresh and not a carbon copy.

I hope you're right about the WWII game. I like BF1 all right but I still keep going back to 4 because the guns are just so much more fun. We'll see.
