Aside from me and original 2 villagers...
I met animals on Nook Pass islands and invited them unknowingly before the first set of 3 houses. They all ended up moving in once the houses were complete. That was couple weeks ago.
Just set up the camp site a few days back and I knew I was going to get a random visitor who was guaranteed to stay. I’m not pleased with him but he’s not terrible.
Since then I’ve tried going to islands but they were all empty. For me, it wasn’t like the first go round. The game wasn’t progressing as before for inviting villagers. I had to build a plot first in order for animals to start appearing. I didn’t like anyone of the animals on multiple trips. They all sucked. And I haven’t had another campsite visitor either.
Then Tom decided to screw me and sell the plot to possibly the worst character in the game.

That's how it happened with me. I sold the land for the new person to have. Then kept traveling and decided I didn't like anyone yet and waited til the next day to try again only to notice that the land I put up for sale had a sold sign on it. I like a couple of my people and don't want to lose them to chance with the campsite. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the "cards"

The Teddy/Merengue plot continues to thicken. My daughter is playing and and low and behold, Teddy is at Merengues house tonight. So of course like any 13 year old girl, she's already making up stories about their relationship and how Merengue is mad at her for crashing their private time haha

So it seems like every other day a villager is coming to me asking if they should leave. Sometimes it's the same person. My question is what happens if you don't play for a couple days? Do they pack up and GTFO?

That's a good question. My guess would be no.

Just keep in mind your island's rating will go down like a full star for having too many items on the ground. If you're early on and trying to get 3 star to get K.K. Slider, or trying to get 5 star to get the golden watering can/chance at a Lily of the Valley spawning, it's going to cause you some issues.

I have this app that I saw on Reddit. Guy who wrote it makes improvements regularly. It just added the turnip calculator. I'm gonna try to start putting data in it this week and see how it goes. I think it uses turnipprohphet.io

Yeah, I'm mainly using the app because you can track your daily tasks and track all of your bugs, fish, diys, fossils, items in the app. I didn't buy nearly as many turnips as before this week because I'm trying to move all of my villagers houses and it's going to be expensive.

I'm at 126 this morning. I bought 11K turnips at 90 a pop--I could walk away with almost 400K in profit right now if I sold 'em all and not sweat it for the rest of the week. Temptation is strong
I might just sell like 1,000 of them, pocket 40K, and see how the rest of the week shakes out.

I have this app too and I love the improvements he's been making. It uses turnip prophet now.
