I'm going to New Orleans for three days and have decided to try these New Orleans restaurants: Parkway Bakery and Tavern, Cuchon, Adolfo's, Irene's Cuisine, and Willie Mae's Scotch House. I know what I would like from two of them but am open to suggestions for Cuchon, Adolfo's, and Irene's Cuisine. What ya got?

If you suggest other restaurants and dishes, I will consider them on my next trip.

Good picks! For Adolfo's, any of their fish dishes
with the ocean sauce, or the lamb (it's cash only!).
Couchon, I usually get a pork belly dish. Irene's
Normally has a really good daily special that I typically get.
Enjoy!

I personally think Willie Mae's is overrated. It's good, but nowhere near best fried chicken. The beans are actually better than the chicken, IMO.

Cochon -- definitely get the rabbit (or whatever variety they happen to have) livers on toast as an app. I usually just get a variety of dishes that sound good.

I have liked everything I've had at Irene's; never been to Adolfo's.

I am fairly sure Wille Mae's is open for lunch only.

Adolfo's Redfish with Ocean Sauce or Veal Chop marsala

I would pick Boucherie over Cochon, but I get that Cochon is a top place. There be adventurous, nothing is "bad"

Never been to Irene's

If you don't do this on your visit you're missing out on quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Cubana ftmfw

At Adolfo, get the crawfish and crab canneloni appetizer. For your meal get the grouper ocean.

At Parkway, the roast beef is cooked perfectly...as in tender. But it's very bland!

Gotta go with the surf and turf at Parkway. Ask for the gravy on the side if you're not eating there.

As for Willie Mae's I'd suggest going at an arbitrary hour, maybe a late lunch? Sometimes the line is a bit outrageous. Obviously get the chicken. Their red beans are pretty good and their bread pudding is also awesome.
